We have Levi, Buhrer and Starling signed for hooker next year - and Luke Yates has been training there apparently. Pearsall has a go in reserve grade sometimes, but he's not good. His size worries me for week after week but no doubting his effort and ability, was looking at our options for back up hooker recently and didn't see any one in current squad with Randell leaving.
My worry is that Levi gets injured early in season, been known to happen to knights players, who would fill in long term, don't think Buhrer or Starling are answer despite both being very good players. If Kotyjsyn is unable we will need to sign someone. We have Levi, Buhrer and Starling signed for hooker next year - and Luke Yates has been training there apparently. He is big that is for sure, the big quandary is how do maximise this as an asset.Read on zero tackle that dan is the 4th heaviest player at 125kg....
Didn't realise he was that big

Stats are in for this week.v Illawarra 27 tackles 0 missed
v panthers 35 tackles 0 missed
v Mounties 44 tackles 1 missed
v Canterbury 31 tackles 1 missed
Was waiting for the reserve grade stats to go up, and since they don't seem to want to post them today, I went back and looked at the last 4 games from Tom Starling in reserve grade - 137 tackles made - 2 missed. He plays reasonably short minutes, so that is a lot of tackles per minute played, and he defends right in the middle and the big guys all have a shot at him. The funniest thing is that he gives away a lot of penalties for working over big props in tackles.
Every time he goes up a grade it's a worry if he can hold his own, but he has shown enough in the seniors to think he'll be absolutely fine in firstgrade next year.
Yes.
Well we've signed enough to date I think we should escape the bottom of the table but still a ways off a top 8 side.
Your a coach in the makingNah, don't sign anyone, lose most games and complain about lack of experience I reckon.
