2016 ANZAC Test @ Hunter Stadium

Well it seems Big Mal has poured cold water on that and said there'll be no debutaunts. So looks like the usual suspects will be picked. I still fear the day of an all Queensland Kangaroos line up

It pretty much already is.

SEMI Radradra will be fast-tracked into the Kangaroos squad with new coach Mal Meninga bringing forward the announcement of the team to Tuesday.

Radradra will be one of at least two debutants named in Meninga’s first squad as coach with Michael Morgan to be selected on the interchange bench.

Gavin Cooper, Blake Ferguson and Corey Oates are the other rookies pushing to make their Test debuts with Ferguson the favourite to beat Oates and Josh Mansour for a wing spot.

NSW skipper Paul Gallen is expected to earn a Test recall while the back-row could be an all Broncos flavour with the first placed Brisbane set to be rewarded with Matt Gillett, Sam Thaiday and Corey Parker in the squad.

Radradra, who is ineligible to play State of Origin, will be selected after switching his allegiances from his native Fiji earlier this year.

Josh Dugan and Michael Jennings are locked in a battle for a centre spot while Darius Boyd will play his first Test at fullback since 2011.

Boyd has beaten Greg Inglis to the fullback role, with the Rabbitoh’s indifferent start to the season shifting him to the centres.Johnathan Thurston and Cooper Cronk have retained their halves spot while Morgan will act as the bench utility.

The Kangaroos’ decision to uphold Queensland’s ban on Anthony Milford has potentially cost the Broncos five-eighth a chance to make his Australian debut.

The Sunday Telegraph understands Milford’s red-hot form would have seen him squeezed into the squad.

Australian Rugby League Commission chairman John Grant will announce a 19-man squad in Sydney on Tuesday, five days before the scheduled press conference.

Meninga wants his team in camp on Sunday before they travel to Newcastle to prepare for the match against New Zealand on May 6.

The selectors, who met on Thursday and will speak to each other after every NRL game this weekend, will pick a development player as their 19th man meaning the likes of James Tedesco and Bryce Cartwright will be considered.

Meninga will lead a new-look coaching line up against the No.1-ranked Kiwis in his first game since taking over from long-term coach Tim Sheens.

Ex-representative players Adrian Lam, Michael Hagan and Michael Crocker have joined the Kangaroos staff.

Thiaday? Omg meninga is probably not the bloke for the gig I think. Queensland are obviously better than us but this lineup is a bit bias I reckon.
Cmon New Zealand!

Semi radradra playing for Australia shi.ts me of, no offence to semi he is looking after himself, but his actions will affect the game long term, we have a Papua new ginea side in the QcuP, now if some of these players make the NRL and become stars, they will defect "radradra, uate the NRL need to improve and make islander nation international league payments even, to strengthn the game...I'm sick of watching aus v NZ ...and GB losing in the semi.... It's crap...the island nations have huge potential and the NRL are stealing it.

The same people booing the selection of Radradra probably cheered for Aussie Kostya Tszyu. He'd qualify for the Australian Olympic team. Good luck to him.

I don't blame radradra for doing wat is best for his family, radradra has publicly said its a financial decision, As for Kostya he just made his money here... Wat is the point of Fiji, somoa, Tonga, new guinua putting sides on the park, when all they have to select from is has-beens and reserve graders, because all the potential islanders stars can earn more money playing for Australia. And as fans we whinge why games arnt competitive...the nrl are a complete

Couldn't be more right, captain. At the end of the day the selfishness is on him, and nobody else. As much as he is abundant player and it's good to see him in green and gold it's wrong and such a shame that he isn't proud of his country. I'd be so disappointed if the roles were reversed and an Australian pretended to be another nationality to get more money.
