Gotta agree, he needs to learn how to set up his outside man better. He had an average tournament, but he is only 20 years of age, as alot of 20 year olds, he has alot of improvement in him still.

Well it's just my opinion, don't mean to start any drama. I wish I could take an interest but I just can't. Don't want to take anything away from New Zealand though it seemed like a terrific win for them and well done to them. Hope Sheensey gets the sack!

And by the way how did Sione go in the tournament as a whole? People say he didn't do much but I'm not going to get their opinion as they're mostly rabbitohs supporters wanting Johnston in. Did Sione play terrific or was it just a solid performance from him consistently?
He played really solidly in my opinion. Great under the high balls, no errors and had some solid runs.

Great game of footy. NZ were very worthy winners, Johnson's try was amazing and if he finds some consistency he'll be the games best player.
Australia were average again. Other than Klemmer & Woods the forwards got monstered. Unusual to see Cronk play so poorly GI going MIA wasnt as suprising. Sione played quite well which was great to see.

Thought that was the case. Kept on hearing after every match people saying Sione got hammered, but from his stats it never appeared that way.

Yeah I think it was just all the people who were shocked to see him there in the first place & wanting to see Johnston & stuff. Despite all that though he played some good football throughout the tournament, didn't do anything spectacular but did his job & got through his work without looking out of place. Should bode well for him whenever Australia have injuries again because they now know he can do the job, whether he's playing in NRL, NSW Cup or NYC.

Sione made a half error that let Hall score against England and Manu ran over him once today - but few other wingers would have stopped either try.
I thought he was out of position in defence a few too many times, mostly because he was slow to get back in the line, but others covered.
He had 3 tries disallowed over the tournament through no error of his own, and he unselfishly set up two trys when he could have gone himself and might have scored.
His try today was a no try IMO, but again it wasn't his fault.
He was very safe under the high ball.
If he had a great centre inside him he would have done a lot better. He got very few opportunities because Walker only gave him rubbish passes except the one good one today, and that was nearly forward.
I say he was a solid 7/10 for the tournament.
Walker a shaky 6/10 - or maybe 5/10.

I had to work so I didn't get to watch it nor have I seen a replay but well done to New Zealand on their win
I see there's a bit of controversy over a possible last minute try that was disallowed due to a forward pass but from all reports New Zealand were the better team and thoroughly deserved the win so congratulations to them

Walker really hindered Sione's performances in all 3 games imo. Why Sheens put 2 rookies together I'll never know. Walker constantly made poor decisions in defence which made Sione stick with him as all wingers do. Walker also hogged it big time and the few times he did actually pass it, it either went forward or over the sideline. It took DCE to do Walker's job for him to give Sione his try. We all know who the better prospect is now out of these two..
As I said before the tournament kicked off, this was NZ's trophy, it was theirs to lose, if they were ever gonna win another one it'd be this one considering the position Aus were in so good on them for taking advantage.
Btw looking at Sione's "match winning" put down, what a star he's going to be. If only that Walker dud knew how to pass properly Sione would get the recognition he deserves.

Gotta cut Walker some slack for this tournament.
He's young, had a very long year winning a premiership.
For mine, he should've been dropped after the England game though.
Sometimes it's just better to hold onto the ball. But I won't go into that discussion again.

Yeah, only 20 years old as i said before, i thought he'd atleast be 22. A good club player, has a bit to go before he's a test standard player, he wouldn't be there if noone was injured, still a great prospect. It's very easy for people to judge players who seem like they've done alot already, Taumalolo seemed like someone who has been around for a while & has taken ages to come on, but he only turned 21 this year, most young players would only dream to be able to be playing the standard he is now by the time they're 21.
