He may not have been 1st, 2nd or 3rd best on the field, but you can't deny he did play a great part in the team achieving their goal.

I disagree about his effectiveness. Houston seemed to be part of that boys club mentality that we had which is why he wasn't as effective, just knew he had to be there and he would be in the team. I definetly don't think we should be throwing big amounts of cash at him though.

I mentioned this in the offseason that we should try and sign him up. Even if he doesn't make our fg squad, having him there putting pressure on the starter will keep everyone striving to be better.

Back onto Prior. He has won two grand finals. (Correct me if I'm wrong). Surely a player with that sort of experience and still a couple of years left in the tank could be a handy addition to our team. All you have to look at is Burher and Kosty and the effect they've had on the side.

With Matt Scott confirmed out for the season with his acl, surely we would be pulling the offer or at the least be reducing it. I was happy with it before his injury but now I think it's just way to big of a gamble.

Got a question for someone who watched the game. All the reports I'm reading are saying that the raiders were under strength, but the reports are only mentioning leilua, rapana and croker not being there. Was there other players not mentioned? Members of the forward pack?

Anthony Tupou has been released from his Wakefield contract. He was linked to us in the past but does anyone see him fitting into or making our 1st grade squad for 2017 if he was to join? I think he'd add some old head experience but can only see him making a bench spot at best.

Like others have said, he played some good games this year but I don't think he's worth that much. If we were seriously chasing him I think 1.2 mil over 3 years plus incentives if he makes rep teams. But if we are going to throw that much at a player I'd rather Ryan james.

Gonna take them a while to get here.
