Sorry I do completely agree. The points system for the ladder just really doesn’t promote that style of batting anymore. It promotes the game moving along much quicker and I think that is to the detriment of players in all facets of the game.

It’s the insane points system. Much easier to take 10 wickets in 100 overs than score 300 runs so they just don’t prepare flat decks anymore.

I never understood why fans were so opposed to the R360 bans. If that tournament becomes successful it will become a legitimate option for elite players to take 1-2 year sabbaticals to make a boat load of cash and travel the world. The NRL do need some sort of deterrent imo.
