Bradman Best discussion

Its a lot for a centre. I thought we overpaid him last time based on how often he gets on the field, I have a feeling we're going to overpay him again now POS is out. Needs to find a way to involve himself more in the game for that $$$.

I think 820K is fair. Can someone explain recurring hammy injuries? Any physio’s! What injuries did Teddy have when he was younger? Turbos injuries are always hammy also? I guess what I’m getting at is his type of injury something that could occur less as he gets older?

Yes some people are predisposed to soft tissue injuries. Alot depends on biomechanics, IE how you move. He should be extremely fit, but those thighs are huge, which can be its own stress or as they will require a huge amount of nutrients and blood flow.

Hammys are a very explosive muscle that leads them to tears, and then once you tear them, no matter how good you rehab, there will be some scar tissue.

Once there's scar tissue, that percentage of the tissue doent contract, and the muscle pulls on the scar, so most reinjuries happen at this muscular/scar Junction.

In saying all that. I 100% prefer Best on 820k vs latrell at over 1mil. Just need him to play 20+ games per yeah. He is currently playing 2/3 of games.

Great player when on the field, but that is really expensive per game, given his absence from the team throughout the season.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the guy, but his situation is looking more like Latrell’s every day!
Compare it to Ponga who also misses games, yes Ponga is better but Ponga and Brown’s contract is awful with missed games?
820 is not bad, nor is it a bargain. 25 year old on verge of elite centre and being part of the culture we have now, he plays 3-4 more games a year - great deal.

Bradman had some interesting things to say in his press conference today. Sounds like POS got a few players off side with some of the contracts he handed out

Can you elaborate how POS got them offside

Did he lowball them?

Basically.

Atleast in their oppinion.

Literally comes down to we can't keep everyone and I have to say with Bradman's petulance I wouldn't be upset to see him move on.

Not as if his on a minimum contract or anything.

Still think Safiti is a much more vital cog.

DAYMN. Just saw it. Don’t miss did he about Sully. Very interesting what ever has happened with Sully and club at end. Club even left it with a one sentence tah ta

When you’ve got Brown on $1.3m and Niukore reportedly on $600k+ next year something’s got to give. The question is, which players do we lose if Best re-signs on top dollar?

You don't make omelettes without breaking eggs.
POS told a heap of guys like Gags, Frizz, Jones etc that there was no spot for them or made them a lowball offer.
Those guys had a heap of mates in the club.
Best's closest mate was Elliott - I think POS might have stamped his papers too.
POS is not going to be popular at the Broncos when he sacks half the squad.

I should have put this in my post. Hopefully it works
Thanks for the video

Definitely paints POS in a different light that I wasn’t expecting

Maybe that’s why POS only stays a couple of years at every club and moves on. Or should I say, clubs don’t fight harder to keep him….. very interesting to me

It is funny that we haven’t heard other players come out against POS in the past as well

Gees it sounded like Best definitely wasn’t staying if POS was still here, but there is some hope now POS has gone.

I hope there isn’t any flow on effect of players being disgruntled and trying to break contracts
