I think we all need to step back and open up to the opinions of others. Even if it does mean Mullen to the centres. After all, were not the coach or football club so unless it happens, we can discuss all we like.

Some calls will and have been made both in the past and for sure the future... it's what different minds want to see or view things differenty.

In saying that, personal attacks towards a member is not on and should be reported.

Everyone needs to understand this is a Knights Forum, were all the same supporters. No point in fighting over it.

On the field note, I don't see Mueller or Quigley playing for Australia if there was size difference, they simply werent good enough. Size is certainly an advantage though!

Well said Ak, guys everyone has an opinon and yeah sometimes you don't agree but you just have to bite your tongue and move on!
Trent at the age of 15 should have known his dad was doing something that was wrong and bad for him, however at the age of 15 who is going to second guess there father considering the man is your own flesh and blood and you believe he is only doin what is best for you!
It's a sad situation and his father should be punished i am sure trent just wants to move on with his life and be able to live a proper normal life as much as can be achieved after such a horrible thing has been done to him!

I'm open to other posters opinions, but that doesn't mean I can't disagree with them does it? The Mullen comment is without a doubt a stupid one IMO. He's not a centre, he's a half. It's a pretty black and white issue to me personally. In all honesty, I actually thought that comment was a little comical, but I know it's his opinion and I'm fine with it, I just don't think he could be further from the truth, and as I've said, that comment actually makes me question his knowledge about the game

I'm fine with other posters opinions as I said, and I'm fine with putting my opinion forward to discuss it aswell, but if a poster insults me because we have a different opinion, I'm not fine with that at all, especially when that poster has made some ridiculous comments in the past and I've never insulted him.

I'm not going to report him and I don't want to as I'd rather have it out with him/her rather than getting the mods or whoever to deal with it. It's not on though and it just shows that he must be lacking in knowledge if he has to insult a poster instead of trying to support his argument.

I'm fighting over his opinions and the fact that he insulted me, not because he's a Knights fan.

Exactly. Size does matter and it obviously does help, but he keeps dis-regarding one major factor, and that's talent. You don't just automatically become talented when you get bigger, and that's what he's made clear to me that he doesn't understand.

That's exactly right TSS9. I havent followed this battle close enough to know who is in the wrong.

All I know is Roopy can say what he likes in regards to positional changes ie. Mullen to centres

TippleNickler can disagree. As long as no personal attacks come into it.

But the point of a forum is so you can voice your own opinion. TippleNickler did nothing wrong and had every right to disagree with Roopy.

Yea. Dis-agreements will occur, thats what forums are for. If everyone agreed with everything then it wouldn't be much of a forum. TippleNickler did have the right to disagree (although sorry i didn't read all of it haha - too long :p)

Yes, i agree, he did insult you and that is not on. In general, strongly disagreeing with some one is fine but there is no need to personally attack anyone.

Yeah i'm not saying i'm on anyones side or anything like that i'm saying if you have had your opinon and someone else has one that is different than name calling etc is not on, sometimes i argue with people on here frizzed can tell ya that but in the end i value everyone's opinions and if i disagree i do it in a way of writing my opinion and not name calling and stupid way's like that! we are all on here for one reason to support our team and fighting each other is not doing that

I'm fine with his opinion no matter how stupid I may think it is and I'm fine with everyone else's opinions on here aswell, but I'm not fine with him calling me an f-wit simply because he can't backup his own argument.

I'm not going to bite my tongue if I disagree with someone, and I'm certainly not going to bite my tongue when Mr.Knowitall insults me and no one calls him out for it.

I never said anything about Roopy not being able to make comments about ridiculous positional changes like Mullen to the centres, and when he made that comment I called him out for it and he never replied. Than in this thread I find yet another thing I strongly disagree with him about and he calls me an f-wit obviously because he knows he's talking sh*t and he can't backup his own argument.

I have no idea how I could possibly be in the wrong, and I'm not saying you AK or anyone else said I'm in the wrong, I'm just saying I was putting forward my argument than the next thing I know he starts putting forward his argument which was insults towards me.

I wasn't refering to you biting your tongue i meant that in a way that when you go to bite someones head off and call them names which i have said above is not on at all here you should bite your tongue and write back in the way of your opinon! I'm not pointing at anyone ok i like this forum and i don't want it turning into a *****y name calling forum!

Agreed. That's why I got the sh*ts with Roopy for, because I was putting forward my argument and he decided to start putting forward insults instead.

Anyways, I'm cool with everyone on here at the moment a part from Roopy who has lost all credibility in my books.

I agree 100%, but Trent has to at least take a little responsibility for this IMO. I feel sorry for Trent and what he went through and how his career ended because of these steroids, and the dad does seems like a real prick IMO who just wanted to milk the money our of Trent, but at 15 you have to know that taking steroids are wrong, and he did say that he knew it was wrong but that he trusted his dad knew what he was doing. The majority of this should be on his dad IMO, but Trent had to know it was wrong and he even said he knew it was wrong, so in thinking this he should've just said no and built himself up the natural way by working hard in the gym and getting in those extra meals, but the dad is definately in the wrong for presenting him the opportunity to make the wrong decision and I guess you could say encouraging him to take these steroids.

Geez, it's pretty tough at that age though. When I was 15 I would have just done whatever my Dad said, coz I would have had so much trust in him.

Agreed. That's why I got the sh*ts with Roopy for, because I was putting forward my argument and he decided to start putting forward insults instead.

You did that in a perfectly acceptable manner from what I can see, there was no need for the name calling for Roopy. That's not on in this forum.

As for Estatheo, when I saw this guy I thought he was bloody awesome. There was another Knights email group I was part of back from about 1997, and if you looked back at the messages from around 2002/03 I was always asking when he was coming back from his injuries, hoping he would be able to recover. He looked the most talented prop in his few first grade outings (I actually can't believe it was only three!).

Who knows how much of that was down to steroids, not a lot I reckon. They might have given him some height, but their effect on his muscles would have surely worn off by 2002? The other thing I am wondering is if those steroids could have caused the knee injuries which forced his retirement? I think he did both knees in quick succession, or he did the same one twice, and that is why he called it quits.

I would have rated him above any of our juniors coming through at the same time, he seemed to have more potential than Woolnough, who emerged in the same season. I know it's weird to say on the back of three games off the bench, but I really had him pegged for origin or something a bit down the line.

It's a tragic story, I feel really sorry for the guy, but at least he is still involved in the game he loves. That dad should be locked up.

Here's another photo of him, I think this would have been the framed jersey on the wall behind him during the interview. :(

Geez, it's pretty tough at that age though. When I was 15 I would have just done whatever my Dad said, coz I would have had so much trust in him.

It is tough at that age because you're still relatively young and you obviously trust your dad 100% as anyone would at that age who has a normal relationship with their father. I definately think it's on the dad without a doubt, because as I said, a father who has the best interest at heart for their son wouldn't put them in a situation to even make the wrong decision, and that's exactly what he did. It's obvious he must've had these $$$ in his eyes at the time and just wanted to milk the money out of his son ASAP, because it's obvious a 15 year old has plenty of time to develop and mature as a footballer without having to resort to taking steroids, let alone animal steroids, but Trent has to at least take a little responsibility for this IMO, as he said he knew they were steroids and he knew it was wrong. It's not like he was a toddler or something who can't make decisions for himself. I'm definately on Trents side in this one, but at 15, you can make educated decisions by yourself and you can say no.

I'm obviously in the wrong place - bye.

I don't know if you're in the wrong place, but you're in the wrong for calling me an f-wit for no apparent reason.

I don't know if you're leaving for good, or if you're just trying to see how many posters come on here and say what a good poster you are and that you shouldn't leave because everyone wants you to stay, because I for one am definately not going to say that. I disagreed with you about a few things and I pointed that out to you, than for whatever reason you decided to insult me.

I'm over it now anyways, and I'll have no problem if I see you on here tomorrow posting. Don't try and make me out as the bad guy though that forced you to leave because I called you out for insulting me, and in all honesty, I'm not even insulted and I never was insulted. It just showed me that you couldn't backup your argument or hold your own in an argument.

Whatever. If you stay and continue posting on here, I have no problem with that what so ever, but if you decide to leave for whatever reason, I have no problem with that either. If you decide to stick around though and continue posting, I'm not going to avoid you or your posts though. If there's something I disagree with I'll tell you like I have in the past, but I'm not going to purposely look for your posts so I can call you out about some random stuff, because as I said, I'm over it, I just hope you're not doing this to see how many posters run to you and start praising you and your posts.
