Our last Origin affected game of the year, a lot will be riding on who is out of both sides. It’s a huge match up though - the battle for second place! Both sides currently on a four-way logjam for second with 24 points … does our place on the table flatter us?

Based on this weekend we might have a bit of a struggle on our hands, but surely we can’t play that poorly twice in a row. All I can hope is that history repeats, as the last time I flew down to watch a Knights game with the Missus was 2008 against Manly and we were no chance then.

I think we will aim up, we have really only dropped our standards against lower teams and although we dropped off in moments against the storm we did aim up against them.

The Knights have put 2 horror games together now: against Saints last week and the bludger we saw today against the Tigers.
A repeat of the poor mindset and sloppy execution against the Phins next week at home will definitely see our for and against drift well into negative territory.
Our recent performances make us look like pretenders, compared to the gun teams above us.
The only positive coming out of the last 2 games is our defence, notably against sides well out of the top 8, and the possible try of the season executed by Dom and Best that saved our blushes.
It’s a case next weekend of bringing our A game, or be thumped by a genuine premiership contender, even with the game played at home and both teams effected by Origin outs.

I read several posts last week about how we needed to defend a lot better.
Wests threw everything but the kitchen sink at us today, and we kept them to 1 try, which is the lowest score against us all year. Even Saints put 2 tries on us.
It would be nice to put attack and defence together eventually, but winning with defence was good against a side with plenty of attacking threats.

It will happen Billy.
We can't play at our best every game, it is just not possible. Our improvement in attack has fallen away but our defence is so well organised. Once our attack is back on song those stupid passes will disappear. The team that face us when it all comes together will not recover let's hope it is the Dolphins.
Looking forward to it all working i have waited a long time for a great year and it is here.

Wouldn’t mind seeing sharpe in the centres again for this one, Hunt fullback. Our halves have been directionless in the past few weeks, so would like to see Sandon come in and steer the team around.
