NRL Round 10 - Knights Vs Dragons - 3:00pm Saturday, 9th of May - WIN Stadium

This is seriously a danger game purely because Saints will be so desperate for a win especially coming off the bye. We need to start hard and fast and take their crowd out of the game early on and then break the saints down.
I'm hoping we remember we need to earn the right to let the ball sing so need to lay a platform in the middle.
Their pathway to victory is straightforward and achievable, in their minds. They have better forwards. They know it. And they are acutely aware that is where they win this game, so they'll be even more difficult than usual tomorrow.

If we're not up for this in a big way the odds of losing this game on a chilli arvo in the Gong is much greater than we'd be comfortable with

I'm not seeing much better forwards?

The way I see it is our team is a much better utilised team in the salary cap due to better recruitment, st George is basically us at our worst recently. We also have bonafide stars and up and comers. Only we can lose the game for us, and I believe Kalyn 2.0 won't let that happen. Barring injury and retention I see us as almost a continuous top 4 team ongoing.

It’s what people said before the Cowboys and Manly game, right before… oh yeah they got beat.

Maybe it’s time to rethink our forwards and maybe we don’t have the worst forward pack in the comp… not the best by a mile, not the worst but a mile to.

the Dragons don’t have a better forward pack than us, simple they just don’t, we will win, we will dominate and we will win easily. 42-16

You realise we’re playing St George right?

Im saying that'll be how the Dragons see it. Probably because thats the only conceivable advantage they could sell themselves.

In reality, we matched it with Souths for much of the game last week so Saints won't trouble us. But that'll be their approach

Article where Holbrook says Kade Reed will be dangerous in attack, then basically says "the other part of his game will take time" and implying we are going to target him a lot. The article says he's 80 kg and missed 6 tackles V the Roosters and says he was on their left side V Roosters, so Matched up against Dylan Brown, McEwen, Gagai and Young.

Speaking of Freddie Kruger I spent 10 mins chatting to Wayne Bennett this morning while waiting for coffees deep in Rabbit territory.

Spoke about his time at the Knights. About the game last week and me having several heart attacks. He said he really enjoyed it. Still a huge fan of Gagai. He asked if as a fan we’d like to see him go again and I said I’d rather Friz went again for another year. Wayne thinks that could be on the cards given his bench role now but can’t have him holding back some of our Jnr’s.

He was very pleasant and great to chat footy with.
