It is a concern.

Id like to see us use Crossland and Ponga optionally the way the Broncos use Walsh for end of set kicking. Its not like Kayln is part of the kick chase anyway
Ponga and Crossland are not kickers. Both can't think quick enough when things change in front of them.

I dont mean general play kicking. Im referring specifically for when we need someone to launch it as deep as possible if we're jammed deep inside our half. Unsure that either of Sandon or Brown have the biggest boot. But perhaps it wont be as much of an issue as it was with Cogger in the halves.

Tell you what. We dodged a bullet not getting Shane Flanagan in.

Talking about “we had a really good year” when his son was at the Chooks and Shane was an assistant at a different club.

And now he’s picking his boy over King-Togia who’s clearly their best halves prospect in a while.

He would have forced us to sign Kyle and he’ll always prioritise Kyle over the team winning.

Never really rated him as a coach. He gets a free ride with the media because he’s obviously got mates. Don’t think St George have improved much under him and they’ve got a long year ahead of them.

Yeah I reckon POS is probably still very "watch this space" on the Dragons halves.

LKT and the kid Reed both look like they have something about him, but they're locked into Atkinson for a few years and Kyle is always going to be in the way as long as the Dragons are there.

Still very possible Kalyn walks out at the end of 2027 and by that time it may be proven that Sandon is in fact actually better at hooker, maybe the pursuit of King-Togia is revisited then...

He really screwed over King-Togia too. He was set to come here than Flanagan at the last minute decided he wanted and started playing him but knowing they had Atkinson coming and he was never dropping his son.

King-Togia at least would’ve had a good opportunity with our halves situation last year to make a case for himself

Shane Flanagan most overrated coach of all time.

Surely Kyle's best position is 14. Even with the new extended bench, I still believe every team needs a quality utility player in the 14, especially if he can kick goals. Solves a lot of their problems.
