2025 Season

Don’t think that’s warranted this year. They would have beaten any team we’ve seen in the finals so far besides Penrith and the version of the Storm which showed up tonight. Could not believe how long they defended their line for.

Great team, ran into better opposition, that’s footy.
Mulitano annoys me with his over the top behaviour, that is the main reason why I don’t like the Sharks.

The Sharks premiership record is worse than ours, they have played in the NRL for 58 seasons and have won just one premiership and even that premiership win was questionable.

Hahaha I love Crazy Ronnie. I wish we had more competitors like him. Too many of our guys are meek. This sport is a physical contest at the end of the day.
You are right, it is a SPORT.
And where I come from, “crazy Ronnie” as you call him displays all the signs of bad sportsmanship.
Other idiots in this lane are Hopauati (wrong spelling), and the little man Ennis.
Anyone who acts like this has either a big character flaw or have no confidence in their ability as an athlete.
In my junior coaching days, if I saw this happening from players in our team, I would sit the players out till they calmed down.
My Dad raised me with the view that you respect your opponent, as without them you don’t have a game.

What has Ronaldo Mulitalo ever done which warrants this degree of anger? I'm honestly confused about this.

And, again, this is a game of collisions, trying to get a physical ascendancy. There is a psychological aspect to it. If you're getting in the opposition's face, in a sense it shows how seriously you take that contest and that opponent, which is in and of itself a sign of respect. Boom, squared THAT circle.

Then the game ends, you shake hands, and often Ronnie finds a young fan in the crowd to gift his boots to.

As long as you're not crossing any lines with what you say, and most people know where those lines are, I really don't see why it's an issue. Very weird to compare players like Ennis and Mulitalo to a guy like Hopoate, who basically sexually assaulted opposing players on the field, too. Makes it hard to actually parse what your issue is or take it super seriously if you're putting "annoying guy" and "butthole assaulter" in the same bucket.

Well said

I’d add that Mulitalo gets as good as he gives as well. So long as he can back it up or take it when the shoes on the other foot, I don’t see the problem

Also, you don’t want everyone being exactly the same, it becomes boring. In the end, it’s a game and you do what you can to gain the upper hand in the contest, provided it’s legal and you don’t cross any lines with what is said

If you can get in your opponent’s head, that’s half the battle. Look at how poor we are when Mahoney does it to us

Seeing McLean get called for that intercept has almost Jokerfied me.

Remember that Storm game a month or so back? Eli Katoa literally five metres offside on his try line? No call?

Seriously I try not to be too tinfoil hat but look at how ****ing late that call was. He was sixty metres upfield before the ref finally says, hmm. Maybe I should call something here.

If he WAS offside it was so marginal. You’d need a magnifying glass. But they can’t find a guy who’s so far offside he’s in the passing lane by the time the ball is played. **** me.

Yeah that was crazy. Such a small margin, you never see it get called in that circumstance. And such a late call. Bizarre.

Feel like the Broncos do have a great 10 or 15 minutes in them, if they’re within two or three tries at the time … they’re not out of it yet.

The replay showed McLean wayyyyy offside, nothing marginal in that. If the Broncos win they need to go all out attack and beat penriff 40-38. They won't out grind this mob. Just had a perfect opportunity to score and fired a blank just then.

They’re so ****ing good man. It’s insane. The talent isn’t as good but they just get better at getting into their processes in these big games every year.

I think Reynolds coming back has disrupted to things. Walsh. needs to take control

Haas has been surprisingly quiet as well.

The only advantage they have over Penrith is speed, they need to use it

Even comparable to the Katoa one?

They’ve been so conservative, hey. I’m surprised … barely even an offload! I think that’ll change after the half-time talk.

They all fall into the category that I call grubs.
You don’t have to act like a f…wit to be competitive, or get down into the dirt.
None of the great players have ever stooped to their level, they respected their opponents and behaved like I like to see the game played.
Everyone has their opinion on how the game should be played, my opinion doesn’t include their poor behaviours, just play it hard, fair and with respect.
