Sack Adam O’Brien

To be fair (nod to you Tobe Fair) I don't think anyone actually knows what the Knights are planning with Coaching. The club usually has a sneaky signing that Sydney media and fans have no idea about.

Current option being a Rookie Hannay, rookie Green or current coach who when the squad has been healthy (2023/2024) has made the finals. Either choice is going to be a risk.

Umm, how about the Knights pick up the phone and try to convince the 8th to take on the role. There would be no one better, he works with Jessie Southwell, so he could work with the men as well.
Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but believe Joey said he stopped working for the Knights because getting up to Newcastle 1-2 times during the week was getting too difficult with his epilepsy.

Yes, but maybe like Simpson, Brennan and others, they don’t want to hear other, better ideas?

It's a no to Joey from mine, I don't know, just giving it to someone with even less coaching experience than Green doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Next minute they will be running a promotion at old boys day, first 5,000 through the gates get an invitation to apply as coach, 5 applicants get to kick to coach at half time.

Joey will never be a coach, he’s said it himself, and he certainly won’t be doing it in Newcastle. He won’t do it while ever he has media/job commitments in Sydney plus he’s made it clear that’s his home now.

😆😆 Since when?

I just think we can't blame one person for the state we are in. To me it has always been the lack of application from the players. We have not had a game winning player for years and we need more then one.

Isnt it the coaches job to get the best out of his players?

Ponga is a generational talent.
We have super exciting players in Young, Sharpe, Lucas Best and Gags. Brown on the way.

They just don't seem to be utilised to their strengths, our game plan doesn't seem to allow our players to flourish.

But when they get booed off they come out and play a completely different style of footy? To me that says the team has it in them to play a great attacking style. But are coached to play for completion stats...
The only thing that saves us from the spoon this year is how bad the Gold Coast are.
They are terrible and 2 out of their 5 wins are against us...

We did that in 2023 and on and off in 2024. Hastings and Gamble opened up Best and Young 2024 we used Sharpe really well and he was becoming more dangerous then KP before his injury this year.

I think we had a stronger team in those years and this year were light on and never held the ball. So improved squad next season im excting a rise if injuries behave.
