Media story or real story? Jayden and Corey were 23&24 respectively. It gets a little personal but as I understood it the "student" was actually a uni student teacher who was on placement there. Jayden's was a student from the actual school. Everything was legal and consensual so what's the issue other then them being professional athletes and in the spotlight.

Reading this Corey's issue seems to be two consenting adults who met through work, some might argue a bit tacky but workplace relationships happen all the time.
But for Okunbor, "legal" is a bit of a loose definition there given, she was a student, and it was a work event. Checking her ID to see if she's of age to consent wouldn't stop a teacher from having their career ended at that point. He's lucky he got to play again at all, and not just because he was terrible.

They were all adults at the end of the day so what they did was up to them.
That is incorrect.
It was a school, he was at a work function, and she was a student. He only avoids criminal charges because she's of age, but if he'd been a teacher, he'd have at the very least faced severe sanctions. Because otherwise, the whole thing is open to groomers.
PS. My daughter just turned 16, and she still sleeps with her teddy bear. If I found out that an NRL player who attended the school as part of a function was sexting her (whether she consented or not), I'd be like Grandpa in gaol right now.
