Recruitment And Retention Discussion

We've been trying to sign some with little success, but no need to panic. There'll be plenty of dominoes to fall before start of next season in 9 months.
Im even talking about this season, should have already made a play for an experienced fringe middle to help these young guys over the past 2 months... bit late now but wrong move for not locking someone up to help our boys out considering we've had a week with a bench of Cant, ESL, McEwen & Greacen which would of been nice to have some experience come on considering it was only a 4 point loss

Not to mention Friz is yet to be confirmed to take his option up for 2026 yet either

Who’s available though? POS seems to have his ear pretty close to the ground. I’m sure if there was an experienced fringe middle out there available for a mid season transfer we’d be looking at them and then some.

Forwards go down left, right and centre during seasons, clubs don’t tend to like losing them mid season incase they’re needed for first grade, especially props where there’s a game wide shortage.

So TDS and KPP swap deal was floated, does anybody know if TDS was keen to come here?

If he was keen then there shouldn't be any reason for him to not come here especially seeing tigers are ok for him to leave before June 30.

So are we expecting Jsaf, Jones and Croker to carry our forward pack by themselves next year? If so, give us the spoon right now and tell the guys to take 2026 off.
It's the middle of the year, long time until start of next season, settle on

Just looking at how many under 25s we have played this year, and it's 17 - and they make up a team.

I have always liked the look of Trey Mooney from Canberra. He hasn’t been in Canberra’s 17 for some time. A big body with heaps of potential and still young.
Worth a look at least.

Pretty sure we've been down that road before. Don't know how serious the claims were that fans would cancel memberships and not turn up to games (one of the Toohey's News pieces) or whether it was taken into consideration but that ship has long sailed. If POS is aiming higher then Lodge would be a step backwards and in the wrong direction.

Yeah I’ve always liked him too. I’m surprised he hasn’t played for first grade at the Raiders even despite their depth. Doubt they’d consider letting him go though.
