With no more halves signings even after they tried to sign that kid from dragons, came only assume they will be having maybe loza or Ryder Williams maybe as last spot in top 30 or maybe even both in development roles so they could be first grade playable next year

Sharpe, Votano, Hunt and Toby Winter are all as good as any fullback we've ever produced I think - and Rostron is an interesting character who plays fullback and hooker in the same game at different times.
 
The hope Williams or Loza can fill that halfback spot within 2-3 years we could also make a play for Woods or another promising/established halfback.

Gamble is still here and certainly won’t get pouched because it’s Gamble, so like HarVee said we can plug him into what ever position needed.

This is if KP leaves and obviously Sharpe would easily slot into the 1 and as above for the rest.
 
Still got Cogger and Gamble for 26 with Brown coming in and Sharpe if Ponga stays until 27 so if we play our potential young half’s in Cup for 26 and give them plenty of training they might be right by 27, at least as backup and we can keep looking for any others.
Think 26 is a transition year to see how everything with Brown, Sharpe and Ponga works out so likely to have Cogger, Gamble and Sharpe rotating in positions 6 & 7 for this season.
Important we try and keep Frizell and Gagai for 26, for experience alone

His ready made replacement will still be contracted freeing up room to spend money on a genuine 7. The succesion plan is clear and id take that tomorrow if offered. Love ponga but we are so unbalanced with him and sharpe. And i dont want to lose sharpe for anyone, he oozes geniune footballer

This could be POS plan all along. Bring in Brown, Sharpe looks great and will become our long term fullback. Ponga can be moved on, freeing up cap space.

Would also explain why he went after King-Togia. I don’t see why he would with a Brown and Sharpe in the halves and Ponga at fullback

Toohey said he was actually
offered to them. Probably because Flanno wasn’t giving him a run. That’s why they lost Tamale and Latu

It's all about Dane Gagai.
I assume the club didn't drop this on Dane this week - but it says the club has not decided to take up a 400k option for next year, but he could stay for "considerably less" if he doesn't get a better offer from elsewhere. Toohey says Schiller, McCarthy and De Courcey are potential replacements.
The other news about Gagai is that his grandmother was ill in the runup to the Dragons game and he spent the week in north Qld and flew in for the game. She has since died and Dane is again spending the week in Qld and will return for the game.
Toohey doesn't say, but I assume the contract stuff happened weeks ago and the club is nothing but supportive this week.

Apart from that, Toohey pretty much writes off our chances this week, due to the injury situation in the forwards, and says we should throw the ball around and hope for a miracle.
