NRL Round 11 - Knights Vs Eels - 6:00pm Friday 16 May - McDonald Jones Stadium

How ****ed is this club. It's management aren't motivated by success, they're motivated by failure. Disgusting. They were probably hoping we didn't get belted by so much, that way they could've continued to sit on their hands
mate im feeling the same about the club, it sux cause my line of work is stress all the time for success but i get paid far less then these players and coaches get.

Just finished watching the game.. the only positive I can take from this game is we still have one of the best fans in the competition! Even when this mob shows so little our fans show up with hope that today will be the day it all clicks and and we win some games

I’d hate to be at the stadium. The last few weeks too. Hopefully some miracle happens and we can do something.
As a season ticket holder, it has been really sad watching Knights games at home. A ticket holder beside me tonight said,” At least they play away the next 2 games, so we don’t have to come here and watch them play for a while”.
I thought that just about summed up the general feeling of Knights ticket holders at the ground.
The Knights never looked like scoring and the side looks like they all have a sickness.
It is really sad to watch it.

When I heard we play Panthers away next week a part of me knew it was an opportunity for a week off from it. I won’t watch another blood bath when I could be doing anything else.

Just checked and the thread was started May 1, 2022.
Sure, when the lone minority was pushing for it. The problem we've got is that it took many more years of failure before the majority of loyal fans decided that maybe AOB was THE problem.

If we'd sacked him in 2022, who knows where we could be in 2025? Couldn't be worse

Yep I'm there with you . Absolutely nothing to get excited about 🙁

I don’t like to be negative, but gee that was painful to watch and it seems to be getting worse each week

We look like an under 12’s side out there. Everyone looks lost

There’s no line speed, no inside balls, no offloads, no one running lines, no forwards run hard to bend the line back. It’s just depressing to watch

It can only be the coaching as almost half the side has played representative football so you know they are good players. If Bennett was the coach, you’d know we’d 100% be in the top 4 right now

Look at AOB’s body language, he looks defeated. He’s devoid of ideas.

If there is a board meeting called, it can only mean the end for AOB. The club has been doing a lot, especially lately to improve the team to win a comp, yet we have fallen off a cliff with our attack

The on field performances will be making it harder to recruit players

A decision needs to be made on the coach very quickly as we are now competing with Perth and PNG for a coach

Yep the one advantage we have is that whoever we hire can start work in 2026, not 2027 or 28.

I know Brad Arthur has a wink wink nudge nudge agreement with Perth but WE HAVE HIS SONS (imagine I said that using a voice distorter, like I kidnapped them).

I have said this before on this forum, but I believe that even if we employed Craig Bellamy tomorrow it would take him one or two seasons to start getting consistent results with this rabble of a club.
I don’t profess to having any answers how to fix it, but neither does AOB and he’s getting the big bucks , so I think it’s time for a new coach with fresh ideas to come in and rebuild ( for the 395th time ).
We have a good front office with some smart operators like Parr, OSullivan, Buderus etc. so surely we can attract a better coaching staff than we currently have.

I don’t think Brad Arthur will get the Perth job.

I think the NRL want a big name coach in there to start up the franchise, much like what they did with the Dolphins. That’s why I believe it’ll be Maninga coach for 1 or 2 years and possibly Burgess as assistant to take over as coach

My wife asked last night why me and my daughter even watch it anymore, then said she’s surprised that I don’t get as angry as I used to.
I watch because I’m a miserable **** and I like things that take the joy out of life 😂
I don’t get angry now because I expect poor performances. I used to get wound up because I had hope and it pissed me when professional athletes didn’t even try to earn their money. Now I’m accustomed to it.
My daughter on the other hand, she’s just a sports nut that has to watch it all no matter how bad it is.

Am I the only one not convinced on Brad Arthur as a replacement head coach for AOB.

Not only because they are best mates or his son is a gun and will be our long term 9 if it works out but because I feel he'll sign duds like Matterson and B Cartwright etc to the Knights and underperform.

Mainly the under performance Issue would be my sticking point.
