NRL Round 9 - Souths Vs Knights - 3:00pm Saturday 3 May - Suncorp Stadium

Since the last time we were any good (2006) I reckon we've scored 50 or more maybe 3 times. Most recent was the AOB-saving win over the Dogs.

So I guess we're due.

Good guess!

Round 21, 2011: 50-20 vs Gold Coast (home)
Round 26, 2013: 54-6 vs Parramatta (home)
Round 18, 2023: 66-0 vs Canterbury (away)
If you look at them stats
When putting 50+ on a team it was 2 years apart all on odd year numbers spaced by 10 year gap
We have had 2 even rounds and 1 odd this will make it the second odd numbered round
2 at home with this coming game being the 2nd away
1 Qld team 2 Sydney with this being a game in Qld vs a Sydney team
Last time we did it was round 18, 1+8 =9

And I have way to much time on my hands

Maybe what we need to kickstart our season is a Welch type post match interview with a subtle dig at us not beating a side with no troops.
I’d prefer it if they were simply capable of turning up and beating a side that’s half filled with reserve graders like they should.

I also didn’t have a problem with what Welch said. God forbid someone actually has the expectation they should win a game.

Don’t know why they were insulted. It should’ve been the Panthers players that were insulted.

Pretty obvious what the difference in expectations are between the Knight and Storm lol

We'll win by 50 similar to beating the Dogs 2023 or lose by 20 in typical Knights fashion with us making Dodd looking like a NRL player and the Bears to pay overs for him.

Dodd can’t believe his luck.

Humphreys, Walker, Wighton, Latrell, Sullivan, Gray all preferred options in the halves.

So what, 7th choice half. Watch him have a blinder and sign with us for 5 years.

If we can’t look more organised and better in attack than this mob, we may as well book our flights to Bali and get our sleeves done now so we can kick back over summer without worry it’ll fade.

Expecting a better performance that’ll renew some faith, albeit against a very understrength rabbits team.
