NRL Round 6 - Knights V Tigers - McDonald Jones Stadium - 4:05pm Sunday 13th April

Arthur is a hooker playing his first NRL game, I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here.
Jones lack of time on field, originally selected 8 then to bench, played 24 mins (14 first half then 10 second half) then last 6 mins of game replaced by McEwen who played final 30mins

Really missing Lucas his our real captain in my opinion leads speed of line in defence can see his really good communicator in both attack and defence can break the line with runs himself or running a good lines catches most of pongas hospital balls aswell we have nose dived since his been out I know his only one player but with our lack of creativity in halves Lucas and kpp are our only threats other teams need to worry about ponga and sharpe are to lateral and give best and gagai no room

My favourite player....if we had a few more like him in the team we would be unstoppable.

Sides have worked out that Sharpe hasn't got much petrol left for attack if you make him do 30 tackles.
He had to do 12 more tackles than Crossland in the Tigers game.
He had the 3rd highest tackle efficiency in the side behind Leo and Gags - but didn't have much left to spark the attack.
We need to hide him on the wing, not because he is a poor defender, but because teams are deliberately tiring him out.
We can't win with so many guys who are rookies in the team (McCarthy, McEwen, Cant, Arthur, Tyrone). I have nothing against any of them, but we can't win NRL games with all those guys in the same side. No more than 2 at a time. But sadly, we have no depth of NRL experienced players.
There is a 28 year old forward in the local comp who has a better resume than any player in our side - pity we can't call him in for a few games.

Insane, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it especially over so many games.

I don’t know what solves it but yips or not the coach has to come up with something so that they’re not taking one out runs and being smashed by a wall of defence.

Need some two pass carries and shift the ball early to edges to make yardage because one out runs up the middle ain’t working
Besides all the dropped ball and resultant heavy defensive load, we are not dominating the middle and are being smashed. This is a killer for getting out backs moving and on the front foot.

Who's the forward you're talking about Billy?

Guy who's won several ESL premierships, a world club challenge, played for Australia, captained the Knights, said he'd like to play NRL again, was one of the best in ESL 6 months ago - Sione Mata'utia.
Didn't realise he was back in Newcastle playing local comp. Always loved Sione

Gotta say a running threat in the forwards besides Lucas wouldnt go astray . Evan off the bench . Still offer more impact than what we have ?

Seems like so long ago. I didn’t realise he was that young. I’d love to see him in the 30 again… although with his memory of us and where he’s at, he’d probably prefer what he’s doing now.

I took a few days to calm down but that didn’t work. We looked like we hadn’t ever played together not just come from a **** loss after a week off.
I know it’s always the knights way to start slow but at least a sloth climbs down its tree once a week to ****, we aren’t even doing that.

Sione was captain of Australia Schoolboys the same year as Jackson Hastings played halfback

Cooper Cronk just showed footage of a Storm attacking play within the opposition 20m and how all the forwards were moving and running decoys. He then showed the Knights, same field position, both moving from left to right attack. We had 3 forwards in the vicinity of where the play was going not moving at all. The play completely brakes down. How does this not come up in post game video. How is AOB not addressing something so obvious.
