2025 pre season thread

We had one of the best test match series in year to watch. A good big bash but…… I’m massively missing my league. First and last thing I do every day check this forum and look at nrl news haha
Being a cricket tragic really makes the off season fly for me, the test series in sri lanka finishes on feb 10 and our first trial is feb 14, cant get much better than that.

It certainly helps, especially the xmas break when other sports stop also

I missed the posts that got taken down. Damn it! I did have to google "schadenfreude"
schadenfreude - pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune.
"a business that thrives on schadenfreude"

Now that we've re-established order, can we bring Aldus back in the hope he will produce more of the same at some stage.
Definitely not!

I don’t come on here to read arguments that go on and on and on a lot of which was not even about the Knights.

This forum is infinitely better when the Knights issues are discussed in a civil manner.

IDK what's intellectual about claiming that making the top 8 is meaningless and not an achievement only to a few short posts later praise the bulldogs for their great achievement in making the top 8....schadenfreude...great word, can't think where I'd use it....oh wait.

The Knights were at the longest odds on Betfair to win the title at 90s a couple of days ago, now since the Francis Molo blow-up the Dragons have moved out to 100 (although so have the Raiders for some reason).

The Dragons were short a middle before this blow-up which looks like an untenable situation so for those worried we're potentially going to get Lodge because of the relationship with POS, it's increasingly likely the Dragons will come in for him again (Liam Knight is also a prop without a gig having missed out on the Superleague with most team quotas full).

BTW according to Michael Carayannis it's not an issue with the coach so it seems likely it's either a playing group fallout (although his brother is also in the team), an issue with the club over money/contract or some other club has been in his ear which would be interesting given that's a breach of the rules.

Edit: Officially Molo has been described by the club as on a "mental health" break (I hope he's OK) and there have been discussions about a release, either way, it doesn't sound like he'll be at the club this season.

I feel left out for being the only one here who knew the correct term for enjoying seeing Manly get smashed - schadenfreude.
You're not the only one who knew the meaning of the term - I've used it a few times in work emails, just to be a smartarse.
