Knights coach returns to Koori Knockout as Yowies hit 30th year

'It's a wonderful opportunity for families to connect from far and wide.'

Article that says Ron Griffiths will coach Newcastle Yowies this year and will have Luke Walsh and Brad Tighe as his halves, as well as several Knights lower graders of the past like Heath Gibbs and Warren Shillings.

The article also says Dylan Lucas and Dane Gagai will play, but doesn't say who for.

Saw the news corp ad for the juniors in the Koori knockout is using Matt McKewn for their photo. He looks just like Jermaine in the face and haircut, but he's a skinny little hooker.

funny they are saying Will Smith is kicking to give the "old guy" Scott Briggs a rest.
Will looks 15 years younger than Scott, but I reckon he is a few years older.
Will has looked after himself as a pro athlete. Scott - not so much.

Maitland under 17s girls were robbed after finishing 10-10 after regular time.
The ref was only a young guy himself, but both of Waterloos tries were dive overs from dummy half where the girl playing the ball was clearly used to impede defenders.
The good news is that Knights under 17s player Dior O'Davis was one of the best on field for Waterloo and looks super fit now. She wasn't very fit when playing for the Knights and didn't make the 17 for every game, but looks much fitter now.
