That’s a big hit with Best. I’m also worried about the humidity there. Makes the ball slippery. Hopefully we can hang on to it. Playing a 8pm might help.

If we were playing in Newcastle I would have us slight favourites. But with Best out and there home ground, they have to be slight favourites for sure.

60/40 for me.

Cowboys are due for a plonker
They have had it pretty easy of late
Some emotions also with departures will play a part and not in the positive way
Holmes due for one of he shockers
Contain Dearden and drink water and we be fine... Clifford isn't use to finals intensity and this is completely different to regular season
Our fowards must stand up or they will roll over us like the warriors last year
I reckon we get home in this one by 8

Was talking to a friend about the Best news, which got me thinking how many players would be a bigger out than him?

Is he number 2 behind Ponga? He does so much for us in terms of edge defence, yardage, and the kind of 'something out of nothing' strike power that decides finals games. The only other two guys I think would be in the conversation as bigger non-Ponga outs would be Thompson and (ironically, given what he cops here) Elliott.

I have a feeling that KPP really needed a few weeks off to let his body rest.
I tip him for a MOTM performance.
So an Australian champion mixed martial artist told me something once that sticks with me for the simple fact that it seems to be true.

He would repeatedly drum a complex manoeuvre to the point where he might or you MIGHT get it but have trouble with it. He’d stop and say, “we need to sleep on that one and get it next time” You would come back and nail it first go.

The science behind it is through repitition. Your brain is trying to connect a neurological pathway (a connection) in the brain that it recognises as something normal. Repetition starts to build that bridge and then sleep completes the process. Time away while thinking on the subject strengthens it. So on that mode of thinking I reckon you are right.

He’s been here long enough to understand what it takes even though at times it must feel strange and foreign but sleep and time away and going over play after play in his head WILL make him a different creature for sure.
