Adam O'Brien replacement?

The Safs are the only players left I think from that sharmozal that was 3 wooden spoons. Looking back at what they went through as young men. Maybe D-saf has just burned out now. They had no forward leaders to show them the way. So they did not know what “standards” were until Klem turned up.
This is the most likely conclusion for me. Miles on the clock physically and mentally compounded by the tender age they were introduced to hiding after hiding. He’s spent.

Actually think what Barnett has done at the Warriors is embrace more of a workhorse role rather than trying to be the enforcer. That’s led to his best footy.

Reckon the average Leo tackle has more venom in it than the average Barnett one & that Leo has a higher ceiling as a player.

BTW - happy to quibble with AOB’s tactics and selections.

But anyone still saying Ricky Stuart is a better coach than him, after the Raiders responded to losing their most important player by basically just giving up before a ball was kicked - take a ****ing lap mate.

I've been saying it for 2yrs since he arrived: McDermott should be our next coach. Whether AOB gets removed from his position, walks away, or the contact just isn't renewed at the end of it, if McDermott is around, he's our man. There's a fair bit of Malcolm Reilly about his aura. And, if he's the kinda coach I believe he is from all reports, he's tough, uncompromising, but loved by his players. Well, except the soft ones, who'd be out of the team anyway for their attitude issues.

I will be mighty pissed off if he leaves the Knights to get a head gig at another NRL club. Especially if he does what I believe he's capable of and kills it at that other club.

It'd be a very Knights thing to do, to let him go, though...

I think Gus has lost the plot since he said we were definites for the eight and could win the comp this year, and Pryce was going to make it into first grade faster than KPP who needed a year or two before he was ready. 🤔😂

Unless he’s happy to bide his time can’t see it happening. Wests won’t pay obrien out
Wests are blind leading the blind. This team will forever be cellar dwellers or rely on that "superstar". If that superstar isn't a halfback we are doomed. Time to just fold the club and do a South's. Come back in a few years and win a comp. We will be sad for a while but it'll be erased by a premiership win 😂

If they do fold, I wish to be cyrogenically frozen and thawed when they are back in the comp. I can't go a day without this club, as much pain as it causes.

There was a lot of pain in between coming back and winning that comp!

This interview at 2:08 is concerning and a bit telling of where our coach is at. Cant imagine there’d have been too many coaches that didn’t make a big deal after Armstrong first showing.

You catch more flys with honey than you do with vinegar they say.

Concerning? I'd say plenty of coaches would try and keep a debutant from letting his head get too big after a good first game. He's got the next couple months to keep refining his game with Ponga out. 'Great game, keep focused and onto the next' is what I imagine the messaging would have been.

There was an official Knights instagram post going on about how great he is. Combine that with comments and fan accounts, etc and I was thinking the same thing … I hope they’re keeping him focussed and grounded after that game. No Matty Johns Show appearances, either!
