I don’t think he’s rubbish. Hugely skillful player, fast, big boot, trick shots, 30 metre cut out pass both directions. He just hasn’t developed in the way the Tigers would have wanted him to. He’s like Milford, absolutely brained junior grades where applying pressure on the opposition is optional and scoring and setting up tonnes of tries is what matters and what makes you good, and he was insanely good for a rookie half, like if you predicted Mitch Moses or Chad Townsend or even Cam Munster would go on to be the better player, people would laugh at you…

… but that’s what happened.

Certainly playing behind a bad pack & in a team which has struggled to keep their points conceded per game below 20-25 his entire career hasn’t helped him though. But he’s pretty consistently created points for that bad team.

Where he lets you down is in decision-making under pressure. After we make a line break, we’d want to avoid passing him the ball on the next tackle like the plague lol. Go looking for KP.

It's interesting though. On the outside looking in it seems Brooks wants out. So why would you keep a player if he doesn't want to be there. But I could be wrong, Benji might play a difference in him wanting to stay.

Best team I've seen so far.
My question mark would be Hethrington on an edge. I like him and how he plays but I haven't seen much of him on an edge. I think I've only watched him play in the middle.

Gagai has to move to the wing.

Someone commented on here that Hetherington is clocked as the fastest forward in the NRL? If he has pace, I'd like to see him on an edge. I've never seen him in the clear though.

Primarily a 6 but played 7 twice this season while Reynolds was out and Mam debuted (Mam listed at 7 but Gamble was halfback and did all direction and kicking), the first game against us was his first game at 7. Has played half his QCup games this season in the 7 and half in the 6.
 
Playing with Reynolds he was used mainly as a runner or link man, did barely any kicking.

Playing with Mam or Milford he's played as the chief organiser, barking orders, and did the bulk of the kicking, conservatively putting the ball in the corner constantly.

He's versatile and I think his role in the team will be more about taking pressure off KP & Brooks - who I still think we'll sign - than about his own game. No matter how the Broncos have used him he's played his role without trying to overplay his hand or force anything.

In short he's a guy who's desperate to play first grade and will follow the coach's orders to the letter. Might replace Kurt Mann as the new coach's pet in the team.
 
Gamble and Clifford are very different characters.
I'd like to think that if you made them train together and compete in every training drill that some of Gamble's confidence and aggression would rub off on Clifford, and we might end up with 2 halves who have a crack.
