NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS V SOUTH SYDNEY 7.55 PM Fri 8th July - MJS Newcastle

Best is a quality player. He's as good as anyone. He's just injury prone.

In the Penrith or Melb system he'd look like an AUS rep shoo-in. He's just unfortunate enough to be exposed to the injury curse of the Knights

Still in rookie stage due to lack of games...

Also his D is suss at times

Fair comment. The only genuine rep level players we have developed since Kidley debuted 21 years ago are Aku and Dan.

That would have to be the worst output in the NRL.
Yeah very low... We have had some very exciting players but consistent rep players have been low since the early 2000s

Ah that old chestnut. Might have been true a very long time ago, but you can probably only point to Tapine these days.
There is a guy called Latrell and we don’t know how good the 4 Knights juniors at the Storm will end up.

Latrell trialled for the Knights and someone told him his attitude stunk and to hit the road. Never played a game for any knights side.

Cordner was in the Knights harold matts side when the chooks dumped a truck of money on his head that the knights couldn't match.

Article where Klemmer talks about the effect Brailey getting injured just before the season started had on the team.
He says Brailey was having a great pre-season and was central to all the systems they had worked on.
Says Randall had spent all pre-season training to play lock and had a couple of weeks to get up to speed at hooker.

In another article O'Brien says he plans to use Brailey for about 30 minutes in his first game.

What is AOB's fetish with turning everyone into a lock, it's like having brown all over again but a different position.

Jordan mclean is out of origin does that mean safiti is in he is the only prop in the extended squad.
I think debuting a new player in a decider is a bit crazy, I would probably recall RCG or go D saf, but I am not sure if that's allowed with them not named originally.

Having your whole season contingent on Brailey staying healthy with no backup plan seems like smart coaching.

Yeah if anything you wanna err on the side of caution and have two specialist reserve hookers. Cameron Smith was an aberration, it’s probably the spine position which cops injuries the most. This is why I wanna sign Jeyden Berrell.

I agree with what your saying I wouldnt have played Simi or Crossland at lock.
I think Randall at 14 playing a bit of lock and hooker makes sense, he actually has attributes to be a good lock, tackles anything that moves, can ball play as he has played plenty of 5/8 in lower grades.
