Oh definitely! Should never of been close to the Aussie side even with the injuries. He can thank Bennett for that though. Without him singing his praises he wouldn’t of been thought of.

Will Smith quits Titans amid club crisis

Article says Will Smith has been granted immediate release from the Titans and will return to NSW on compassionate grounds.

Will was a Newcastle Wests and Knights junior and his father was a good friend and team mate of Garth Brennan at Wests, and Will is actually Garth's godson.

Not my favourite player when he was at the Knights, but his experience as a utility spine player sure would be handy now. His younger brother, Matt Smith, played a few trial games for Flegg this year.

Will is a mainstay in he Newcastle side in the Koori knockout every year and all his family live here.

Well Garth Brennan has resigned, so don't know where that leaves things with Smith. His other "projects" - Phythian and Gibbs - might be struggling now too.

I hope they don't give the development manager job to O'Meley - I haven't seen much to say he's a great coach.
I'd give it to Andrew Ryan, Todd Lowrie or Matt Lantry - unless we can somehow convince John Morris to take it on.

He might have got a better offer.
I think he's done a very good job and I don't think we are paying him much, so maybe his Penrith mentor, Gus Gould, wats him for canterbury or something - just speculation.
 
Wow, that's crazy ... it's not the sort of job you sign up to for nine months. Something has definitely gone very wrong.
 
prrreetty disappointing. BUT, I have faith the club is doing the right thing! SG Ball look strong and Flegg doing great with some of them coming through to NSW Cup already.

Hopefully not a bad break-up, club will have to inform us, the fans, what the pathways plan is now he's gone. Can;t just leave us in the dark
 
An article dated 16 November 2021 says that Temple Kalepo(promising Hooker) was released by the NZ Warriors at the end of last season to join the Knights in 2022?

I suspect Kalepo failed the physical when he arrived because he never got a run in the trials or any game, and the Warriors let him go while still on contract.
Just my guess - I've heard nothing about him since it was reported we signed him.
