is it time to speculate that there was more to craig bellamys long lunch/function up here for a newcastle rugby league club a fortnight ago.

Not if the reports at the time can be believed, didn't the players supposedly front Brown and say they were not happy with his efforts?
 
Ramien is a prime example of the sort of young player that Brown didn't seem to be able to improve, and you would hope that whoever our new coach is, they will be good at bringing on talented kids like Ramien.
If the new coach gets Ramien back, that will be a good first addition to next year's potential squad, because Ramien has a lot of improvement in him.

To be fair Baz only gives the right story after it's happened he never gives scoops prior.

I'm sure wests will be looking to a new coach that has the brief to take the roster we have now and run with it. No rebuild!
 
There's only 12 players signed past the end of next year. That includes klemmer, kp and Pearce so the new coach is going to get whatever he wants for 2021.
 
Fitzgibbon ruled himself out, as has Walter's.

O'Brien has a clause in his contract that he is locked in at roosters so might be hard to get out of that.

Heaven forbid Trent Barrett is looming as a possible.

O'Brien is the only candidate they should be looking at. The rest of the names thrown around are super unimpressive.

He knocked back the Sharks at the start of this this year though, so might be happy at the Roosters.
 
im really underwhelmed by the whole list of candidates tbh. wests should be splashing the cash and targeting the best in the business on a long term deal, they may be contracted but we should be still enquiring what it will take to get a robinson or bellamy here.
 
No doubt the Walker brothers will be throwing their hat into the ring.

Wonder whether they'd make the short list...
