Tevita Pangai Jnr

I can deadset see the Sharks wanting him back for around half price haha
Such a flanno thing to do

Yeah definitely. It’s a bit of a boys club the Sharks. As in it almost seems like the players have a say in signing their mates.

Despite all of that they still do well and are we following with all our Rooster contacts and if I was Bird I would resurrect my career at any club BUT Sharks.

Flanno comes off as still wanting to be one of the boys as well in my opinion.
As long as the Sharks have the players to be competitive he will still have a job. It isn’t like Ricky where you can wear our your welcome over a few years.

Although I think the reason flanno has worked so well because he was the assistant coach who was going to end up being an nrl coach anyway. So the trust and respect from the players and senior players is also there because he has overseen the transition.

The Mole: Tri-Colours raid Brisbane play stocks

The Sydney Roosters are preparing an ambush to sign highly-rated Brisbane prop Tevita Pangai Junior.

The 22-year-old is off contract and has yet to re-sign with the Broncos.

A Tongan international, he played his junior football at the Knights, who are keen to lure him home.

But the Roosters have more financial clout and influence and coach Trent Robinson is desperate to add the giant forward to his arsenal in 2019.

So Im sure everyone has done it before (2019)
Cronk, 1.5m
Keary 500-600k?
Crichton 1m
Cordner 850k
Hall 300-400k?
Friend 500-600?
Tedesco 850-1m?
JWH is probably around 700k or so
Napa 750k
Aubusson 300k or so?
Mitchell 300-400k?
Tupou 300-400k

Plus 8 other players contracted in 2019 They must be on minimum wage!

And this is taking into account having 600k spare to sign TPJ, so unless guys like Aubusson are on a team friendly deal and even the minimum amount suggestions are put in place it is still a stretch to fit all that in...

Probably not but probably also re-signed at the peak of their powers despite friends past off field issues. Both have won a premiership and JWH plays for NZ so that’s were the market value comes from. Even though rep payments count towards the cap

Surely the Crichton deal was just media sensationalism like a lot of other supposed 1 million dollar players? That would be insane money for him. TPAs help out big time. You can't rule it out, but you'd have to think their advantage would most likely come from being able to offer top 17 players a few hundred grand less with the promise of a nice TPA deal, rather than actually offering money off the books to players. It's just so risky, with all the people involved someone would blow the lid at some point. The NRL would know the exact amounts, so if it is all above board, then it's pretty bad how they can just sit there & be comfortable with teams having so much of a financial advantage, while maintaining the idea that it's a fairly equal playing field.
