The previous reports indicated he wanted to stay a Bronco, if his management have declared an amount then assume he is on open market 600k+ and we have a very good buy
 
The Broncos still have a tonne of players they need to juggle in regards to contract extensions and I heard recently the Su’a deal with the South’s fell through so there is that to consider.

But like you said he said he wants to stay at the Broncos now it’s up to them to meet his demands.

That said I did hear he switched management so that’s why it’s taking so long to sort things out. We could be waiting until the end of October to see something happen in that regard.

Am hoping we are still in the market then
 
He wanted to stay at the Broncos to be coached be Wayne thou didn’t he? Now that Bennett is moving on at the end of next season does that change TPJ mindset about his long term future. I would offer 600-700k to him on a three year deal with bonuses if he makes rep teams or helps the team to a top four finish or a Comp.
 
TPJ is still overrated. No way near consistent enough to command those wages and he never takes the tough runs.

Get a couple of reliable metre eaters first then get him to play off the back of them. Until then he shouldn’t be priority.
 
Have a look at Eses figures and come back to me. His a gun ditto Safiti but because he wears our jumper people never rate them. I'd take either over anyone bar Klemmer in the Nrl
 
Ese and D.Saf are great for us but we still need a couple more props and theres not many options. Im over King starting at prop and Lilly and Hieno will be gone next year.

Thats if he is even still on the market. Toohey said that the Knights were told by his manager that he had already signed with the Broncos, but they need to move some players before they announce. Who knows, there might be a lot of player movements at the end off the year and we could benefit again like last off season.

When did this happen? When he said he was keen to sign there and wasn't looking anywhere else and that theyd sort something out? Or was it more recent. Also heard he switched managers, so not sure how much truth there can be.
 
Barry Toohey tweeted today that TPJ's manager told the Knights at least 2 months ago "not to pursue it because he is definitely staying in Brisbane because of Bennett. Knights think he has signed deal already but not being announced because club needs to move players."

The fact his management are discussing amounts and other club, Roosters, mentioned I believe they have played there last card, held out to get interest and now ready to deal, jump in and grab, he will get more than he is worth but they have played it well, now up to our guys.
 
His asking price is fine, it was always going to go up with the way his form was going. If he stays at the Broncos it ties up their cap and makes it harder to keep other guys and if he goes to the roosters well, lol.
I don’t get how the roosters can legitanetly make a play without these TPAs not counting considering they have already been leaked to the media. It’s like with the Broncos getting bird.

But if he seriously told teams interested not to bother because he was staying at Brisbane no matter what then he needs a new manager.
 
Who cares about TPJ, Cowboyman summed him up pretty well.

He stinks of signing a big contract and putting his feet up. Carrys on like a goose on the field too.

This is basically how the Bulldogs screwed over their salary cap. Signed players on the basis the salary cap was going to be higher and they’d have room to move. And with the back ended deals looking like they do have room.

Perhaps he hasn’t signed this deal with Brisbane and now they can’t cough up the $$$ when it comes to it so his management are looking elsewhere. The Broncos salary cap space has always been a bit thin now I imagine with the players on the money they’re on but I never once for a second thought this was a signed sealed and delivered deal unless proven otherwise.
