Been known for a week
I posted this last wednesday...
Rumor is James Graham is 100% on the market now for 2018.
We know we can afford his price, though id hope we get the dogs to cover 300k or so and we get him for 700k in 2018-19.

Big difference between you posting a rumour and his manager confirming it mate...
No offence anything, not saying your unreliable
SOO player, better than what we have, admittedly not flash but would improve our roster, saying that I don't think we will get him and not fussed either way, the less likely we are to get someone else the better he looks.Who wants woods? ****ing slow as... decent offload but he isnt a player we want or need
Did you really expect anything different with Greenturd in charge?Ray Dib has no doubt taken a good hold of his ankles in order to get this one over the line.
Its a deadset slap in the face to the clubs who recruited responsibly.
Caving in to the demands of these irresponsible clubs is a bad precedent to set.
9.6? It's 9.2 base, with 200k for a veteran or development allowance.Yep.
Although nobody wants to voluntarily hand over cash, if these teams could negotiate the players to accept a 4% cut each they would get under the $9.6m cap and keep their loaded rosters together.
Even though I can't really afford it I'd still take a small wage cut to keep my mates in a job if it came to it.
Guess it's all about the dollars
It's only 100k over what the NRL gave as a guide yeah?
Exactly. Reduced from the 400kI believe they said work off 9.2 the extra 200 is for junior developed players or long standing players I think

I don't think it is anywhere near what the dogs wanted. But likely if they pushed for a higher amount, 5 clubs could get together who all want it lower and veto their proposal.
This was always going to be the outcome, a slight increase. And with the salary cap remaining at the 9.2m, but an extra 200k can be spent outside the cap, it makes you wonder what the point was as they no doubt could easily spend that through TPA's anyhow.
Could they? Very congested market with the Swannies, A League teams and BBL teams.
I really think people are overestimating third parties in Sydney to be honest with you, even Brisbane is not fielding the super star teams it once did.
