Official: Knights sign Tautau Moga and Herman Ese'ese

Paying overs for Ponga, I don't have an issue with.
Ese'ese on close to 500k a season, sigh
Does any one know what he is actually on? Or is everyone plucking a number out cos last I heard it was around 300 as that was his asking price

paying $1m a year for guerra and ese'ese hmm.

the way I see it probably only spent half the kitty (less if hodko ****s off to esl). really need the next one or two signings to be high quality big money. have enough kids and rejects now.

3 years $1.4m for ese'ese
Hasn't that figure only been thrown around by courier mail journalists? There always seems to be a discrepancy between the figures of Qld players they throw out there compared to everyone else. When jack bird signed with the broncos, reports stated that their offer was more than ours, then the courier mail comes out saying he is on only 750k. They were also the the publication that said ponga signed with us for some crazy figure which barry toohey has said is way off the mark and that his contract is highly incentive based. I'll believe a players contract figure when its confirmed by multiple sources rather than just the bias courier mail.

Does it really matter if their is a 3 or a 4 at the start of it? We have been desperate for some more big bodies up front and now we have another one and a player with a good offload and some footwork which is something we have been missing and really Ese'ese has been very good for the Broncos this year close to their best prop forward just look at his stats compared to Sims.

Ese'ese (per game)
22 tackles
12 hit ups
103m

Sims
21 tackles
10 hit ups
83m

Blair
24 tackles
11 hit ups
94m

Thaiday
23 tackles
11 hit ups
100m

Back On Ese'ese stats for a second the only forward at Brisbane to average more metres a game than him this year is Josh McGuire who is average 152m a game, the Broncos only have three forwards averaging 100m or more a game this year too.

An important figure missing from those stats is 'minutes played'

Now I may be wrong but Ese'ese playing from the bench has had less time to produce more than the starting props he is measured against there

The guy is class

Yea I have not found anywhere that provides that stat but he has been used to start games and offer early impact than brought back on late but the fact he is getting through that many hit ups in that amount of time is very impressive.

Old mate left foot saying we could of got arrow and ofa with the ese'ese money...we need props more then anything else, ese'ese has twice the future of ofa and arrow is a lock.

Seems like you just like to be a pain and disagree mate?

We need backrower that can offload which Arrow can provide.
Lol at Ese'Ese having twice the future as Big Jo.

Try again next time.

Mate don't you know he knows it all he is gonna coach the Knights next year

Everyone on here love their stats.
Big Jo has averaged more meters per run than Ese'Ese this year.
Big Jo is a year younger as well.
So how does that make Ese'Ese having twice the future? Lol

if we didnt have interest in Ese Ese then Wayne would have picked him over "big Joe" this week. Surely says something there.

I don't think anyone is denying Ese'Ese has been playing well this year but to say he will be twice player than Big Jo is laughable.

to say either will be twice the player as the other is imo! Very hard to say at this point

Since when did I say Big Jo will be the twice the player as Ese'Ese?
I was asked the question who would I recruit if we didn't sign Ese'Ese for close to half a mill a season.
I threw up two other Broncos players in Arrow and Big Jo.
Which we could probably both get for the price of Ese'Ese.

Actually Ese'ese averages slightly more metres 8.5 for Jo and 8.58 for Ese'ese but Ese'ese gets through more hit ups a game. Their stats are very similar thou same amount of tackles a game virtually the same metres per run just that Ese'ese gets through more hit ups, the are both talented players but I rate Ese'ese slightly higher he has better footwork and a better offload.
