Safe and smart, even if we are down 12.

My favourite play is us continuing to take the 2 early in games when weve had a few sets on opponents line giving up all momentum.

Surely by now even the coach realises we need to go up by 6s not 2s

Dont start me on the penalty kick for goals...... drives me up the wall

I don't mind Ross and Sio on the wings but surely we have to be aiming higher than Pete for centre. He'd make a good back up though.

We have second rowers coming out the wazoo but they are all on the small side, centre/second/utility types. Compared to backrows like the cows or raiders they look like midgets.

Last year would've definitely agreed but Pete has been our most consistent this year along with Buhrer. A genuine quality centre would be good but outside backs should be at the bottom of our target list.

I have high hopes on Stone becoming a star backrower for us in the near future... 5-7kg on him and yeah buddy!! 195cm 110kg on the edge yes please.

Our main priority is prop no if buts about in.

Im pretty much 100% that we will have Graham next yr, add Joe ofahengaue to our 17 with Graham and where a much better middle already

8 Graham
9 levi
10 Ofahengaue
11 sione
12 Burher
13 barnett

14 stocky
15 d saf
16 j saf
17 Stone/wardle

Personally id like to have the twins rotating between cup and first between each other and sign another prop like Page or paasi.

I agree props are our priority and we we could nab an elite prop like Graham and above average prop or someone young with a lot of potential than that would put us in a good position, we need at least two NRL quality props for next season but if we could nab three to go with D,Saifiti than that would be great. As far as the second row goes I am comfortable with what we have Barnett and Sione are quality young players who will develop in good NRL forwards and Buhrer is a quality work horse seocond rower but if the right player became avaible and we had the cap space we could use another second rower. As for backs I think we are pretty set their personally I don't believe any club should spend big money on more than two outside backs and with Gagai and Ponga we have two big money back plus solid nrl players in Pete,Ross and Sio than Elliot, Gagan etc for depth. Some props and a half is what we really need.

Buying Tamou and getting Cleary and Te Marie whatsisname were not exactly as the cheap as chips guys we have been signing over the last couple of years with the NRL dipping into the salary cap to get rid of our indebtedness. The Panthers would be spending a conservative $2 million a year more than us and aren't much better.

We keep on keeping on slots with what we got (or inherited).

We inherited an 8 win team. Pretty long way from there at present.

IMO it doesn't take much skill to sack everyone and end up losing every game. Seriously, I hope there is a plan other than a) throw money at all the big names and have them laugh it and b) hope the big clubs need to push players out so we can profit from their mistakes.

Obviously mooney was very good at b during his time at the Sharks but I don't necessarily think it works with a team outside of Sydney that is this bad.

Anyway, each week that passes it feels more like we are at a game of musical chairs and when the music stops we will be left without a seat. Once the Tigers players sort out what they're doing everything will fall into place. Let's hope there is something for us.

As of right now, the dogs want Woods very badly, they also want Teddy.... for that to happen they need someone willing to pay Grahams total 2018 contract which is massive... 1.15mil or there abouts. We are very keen on getting him and are willing to go as far as 950k a yr for 3yrs... that 200k in 2018 comes down to weather we role over and say yep we will cover it ( which in due course we will ) but atm where sitting back and playing chess for a minute..

Though even if we get Graham we need more then 1 prop.. 3-5 imo to cover nrl and cup plus the twins and king who are already signed atm.
Pauli mite get another yr due to his bad luck this yr... but there is no way Mataora, Paea, Starling are getting new deals.

:applause::applause:

U summed up everything ive been saying for 6ths in one post :hello:

Lol, you post like there is an opposing argument from people saying all we must do, is sign foran and with Ponga we are going to be fine.

Nobody is saying that. Nobody is saying we don't need forwards.

But we also need a new half. You seem to be in disagreement with this and to boost your agenda, you bang on about how without forwards our halves can't be blamed. Then invent some argument that others are saying we don't need forwards and our magic bullet is replacing Hodkinson.

Whilst we lament having Hodkinson in out team unable to actually play the halfback role at all, and being a passenger virtually every game, you're there making excuses for him, oh it's his knees, it's the game plan, he organises the play in the background, that you reserve your judgement for when we get some forwards going forward blah blah blah.

Give it up 88'. The guys poison to the team performance. We need forwards, we also need a new half.

Wtf are u on about num nutts?

For the 10th time now i agree hodko is a liability!!!!

All ive said is
1- its not ALL on him!
2 no half will fix this without decent forwards!
3 in my opinion the forwards win u or lose u games!!

So ill say it again, we can replace hodko with a million dollar half but without forwards laying the ground work it will be a big waste of money.

Im sorry u cant understand that forwards is where the game is won and lost.

Cheers .

P.S maybe go through the Ponga thread and see how long this argument has been going...
Ur not the first debate o the issue ive had champ.
