Apparently Jamie Buhrer has signed a two year deal with the Knights. It's expected to be announced within the next week.

Liking our backrow next year if the addition of Buhrer is true. He'd be an excellent signing if he can stay injury free. Runs good lines in attack, has a good work rate and he offers good footwork at the line.

I can't believe Barrett would be silly enough to trade him for Uate.

Apparently he has a good work ethic at training as well and all the young guys at Manly look up to him. That might be just as important as what he can do on the field.

In the NSW cup semi final game against Manly last year Buhrer played hooker and tried hard to bash Danny Levi out of the game.
Levi played 80 minutes and had the commentators raving about his toughness by the end of the game.

If Brown is trying to rid the Knights of all the lazy trainers by sending Uate packing this'll be a step in the right direction

Im liking the direction our recruiting is now going - experienced/ up-n-coming, affordable players looking to play 1st grade.

If it's a straight swap for Aku Mooney has absolutely robbed Manly.

Beggars can't be choosers member, this bloke is a first grader and we didn't have 17 of them this year.

Hilarious if Mooney pulled that off, wonder if he can pull 2 props out of his arse, than we are looking like a 10-12th place team rather than a dead last team.

I think it's a great signing if we pull it off. Every Manly fan is going ballistic over losing him so they definitely rate him. Watched him a bit at the back end of the year and he was playing out of his skin.

I agree, a good solid player with plenty of experience and always gives his all.

Barrett has worked with Uate at NSW Country so he's seen what he can do & probably fancies himself to bring it out of him again, while Manly have been trying to offload Buhrer for a year now. Barrett has to take some risks after the year he had, probably sees trading a workhorse for a potential game breaker as a risk he needs to take. I'd say the powers that be at Manly won't keep Barrett around for much longer if they are crap again next year.

Mate he'll be alright for us. Don't let his Origin appearance cloud your mind, he shouldn't have been there but that doesn't mean he's a bad player. Pearce & Dylan Walker suffer from the same syndrome. He's not the blockbusting Klemmer forward we want, but we have to build up from the bottom. Get some seasoned defenders in there, it's hard to handle going into games knowing we would concede outrageous scores every week.

I know he would never want to come back but I would love to get Dane tilse back from England for a season or two
