Literally the only thing BJ has over Gagai is size IMO. I think Gagai is ahead in a lot of areas...most importantly having a football brain which sadly for all his physicality BJ doesn't. Both are horrific defenders and are lucky their attack is good enough to make up for it.
 
Leilua was at Wests with Filipo and Vai Vai playing the pokies til 4am this morning.

Hope they don't have training today.

I don't rate stone, but I'll give him this, guys like Roberts are confidence players, if stone was to blast him in the media it would put Roberts in his shell. Whereas someone like Joey would react better to being told he came back to training fat.

Without mullen for the next 4 - 6 weeks we have no chance of a win so let's blood as many youngsters as possible.

This season is well and truly gone even though it is still early, just can't see us recover as we are playing crap.
 
Got a chance to speak to Hages this morning, asked him why he let Joey go. He basically said he's pretty hard to deal with and wanted to leave. He's not too sure why he's rumoured to go to Canberra when his partner is in Sydney. Didnt get a chance to ask him if we are planning on recruiting anyone.

Yeah fumbles the fat hog has been such a game breaker for us this year.

Sione will be our centre next year I'd kick it off now for sure.

Did you see the interview with Leilua where the subject was raised ? Leilua was filthy.
 
On the positive side. I don't think he has signed anywhere yet, so he is basically playing for a contract, and we have all seen what he can do when he actually tries for a change.
I think he might be a match winner for a while, until he signs a fat contract with someone else, then we might as well drop him.
 
Apparently there is a story that he walked out on a Knights function recently and is at odds with Stoney and Gids. relegate him to NSW Cup or ship him off to Canberra now. Get Mamo, Jimmy, Sione and Aku in the centres and wings, Gags at FB, Carlos at 6 with Roberts at 7, Gids to 14.
 
BJ is used poorly in this team. You watch him thrive at a
Club who can give him early ball.

The issues must go past one player in this team. I can't see BJ being the only one with his nose out of joint.

Dunno. Leilua seems like a pretty massive ****er. Might aswell let him go now if doesn't want to be here.

It was a corporate day with the sponsors. He skipped out before the sponsors arrived.

The fact that he's still in the side after that just goes to show how much of a soft touch Stone is.

That's my point. I'm not arguing about his performances on the field. If even part of what we hear is true about his attitude then you're 100% correct ie Stone's too soft. How would you feel if you're a young bloke in the lower grades watching Leilua do as he pleases yet still get a run in top grade ? I don't agree with dropping a player just because they've signed elsewhere but if his form either on or off the field warrants being dropped then that's the way it should be. But don't forget Stone's a nice bloke and he's a local.

Technically we could probably sack him. There would surely be conditions in his contract saying he had to maintain his off-field club commitments and if he hasn't it's a breach of contract. He'd be sacked already at a tougher club...especially after the rocking back up to pre-season underdone and responding in the way he did when called on it.

But like we're the Knights so not only does he get to see out the year but he gets to keep his FG spot over someone like Mamo or the other Mata'utias who have been doing the right thing from all reports. Zero accountability at the club and this is just another example. It's really no wonder why we have no success.
 
The disappointing thing for me after today's game is that we won't get to see the center pairing of Sione and Leilua over the next couple of years.
