If they had 10m in goals like everyone else then he wouldn't have hit it at the very least he wouldn't of hit it that hard, These in-goal areas are only 6m-7m at the most..

You see how far he slided? There could have been 10m in goal and he still would of slided for 10m like he just did. Can't blame the short in goals for that incident imo.
Yes but as James said it looked innocuous on second look so that extra 3m could have made all the difference as far as impact, All I'm saying is that the smaller in-goals don't help and create a bigger risk of injury..
I think it's just bad luck, a combination of the ground and the conditions. It was by the dead ball line though, who's to say even if the in goal was bigger that the advertising hoardings wouldn't have been that close anyway?

Alot of innocuous injuries require very little impact, hence the term "innocuous". Even if the in goals were bigger that wouldn't automatically mean the signage would move back further because the grand stands are so close to the sidelines as it is.
