REAL NRL: Newcastle Local Competition

a team from the upper hunter will ruin group 21, the group 21 rep side would struggle against the top teams. Singleton is way off coming close to that level.
 
Mark Taufua has signed with Wests Rosellas for next year, wonder if Wayne will take him back for the NSW Cup side if he goes well in the Real NRL.
 
Brendan Wurth (Cessnock - 150 pts) and Hayden Jeans (Lakes - 150 pts) have signed with Kurri for 2014

jw are we going to do a 2014 Gains and Losses list for the 2014 season? I know I can contribute to it as I follow the comp same as a couple of others on this forum what do u think?

You are free to do it mate & it would be good to have someone do it who knows alot about the comp. Most of the admins on this site who do that kind of stuff are from Sydney or elsewhere so wouldn't know too much about it.

Catt is a really good signing, says he's trying to impress Stone for a NSW Cup spot too.
 
Another few interesting points of that article, former Knights & Manly player Liam Higgins is at South Newcastle now while Shane Gray from the Titans looks likely to go there aswell.

Macquarie have gained Zac Walsh from Wests. Could be a huge signing for the Scorps if he plays like he did in 2012, could potentially be the last piece of their puzzle to take them that extra step of making and winning a GF. They were the best team in the comp for the first 2/3 of this year, with a fit and injury-free Walsh on board they could be premiership favourites for 2014.

If Zac Walsh loses 15kg he should be near automatic selection for the Knights NYC side. He came to Newcastle on a Knights contract, and I think he is still technically a Knights player first.
 
I think he may have been cut from his initial Knights NYC contract due to fitness/attitude issues. Not 100% sure though.
 
Central - Dean McBain (75 points) is from Wests Newcastle, Rowan Kelly, ryan Walker (50) and Heath McIlveen have all resigned.​
Souths - Liam Higgins (75 points) is a Raymond Terrace junior from Manly NSW Cup

Luke Clydsdale in the local comp could be interesting if the Knights need another hooker. He had a junior career that was even better than Adam's and played reserve grade for Penrith about 2 years ago.

Maitland will have three quality hookers those two aswell as their coach Pj Ellis. Someone will have to play in the backrow, most likely Pj.
Add Dan randal to that list of players they have signed aswell. However they have lost rob mason to Lakes and Jack French to Charlestown.
