Your NSW Blues Side For 2012

Agreed, Trex and Lewis on the bench is enough for the utility. Either add another 2RF or a FRF

Exactly, and if theres an injury in the half, Greg Bird into five-eight. even Lewis would be more then capable

Gallen may be out for the opening game , knee injury as well as a possible suspention from the South vs. Sharks Game tonight! But this would be my forward pack untill further news on Gallen

8. Paul Gallen
9. Robbie Farah
10. James Tamou
11. Glenn Stewart
12. Antony Watmough
13. Greg Bird

14. Luke Lewis
15. Tony Williams
16. Tariq Sims
17. TTL

TTL played really well for Canberra against Manly and really showed some agression and used his body weight and size well, finely realising how big he is! If not TTL then Merrin

According to the DT, the certainties are: B Stewart, Uate, Jennings, Hayne, Carney, Pearce, Gallen, Farah, Tamou, Stewart, Bird, Lewis, Buhrer, Williams and Creagh (lol)

Possible look of the team:
1. Stewart
2. Uate
3. Jennings
4. J Morris/Lawrence ?
5. Hayne
6. Carney
7. Pearce
8. Gallen
9. Farah
10. Tamou
11. Stewart
12. Bird
13. Lewis

14. Buhrer
15. Williams
16. Sims/Watmough ?
17. Creagh

First off, I really like the look of that team. But a massive facepalm to Stuart using Creagh as a bench prop. He's in horrible form this year and has never done anything in Origin. I'd prefer Watmough and Sims on the bench and both would do much better in tight than Creagh. Also, Buhrer is a pretty bizarre selection, but I can live with that as he can cover a lot of positions.

Overall, it should be a good looking side.

Watmough starting for Bird Who hasn't exactly been in that great of form to warrant selection and Merrin/Woods in for Creagh who both have been in much better form and then id agree with the side.

How some players get picked over some of the players that are left out of that predicted squad i'll never know.

For me the back line picks it self
1 Stewart
2 Uate
3 Jennings
4 J Morris
5 Hayne
If it was me i would sent the SOS to Lyon to play but then who do you leave out.

The halves also pick them selves,
6 Carney
7 Pearce

As for the forwards i obviously need 3 picked so i would go
8 Gallen (c)
10 Woods
17 Merrin
Woods has been the best FRF this year with Merrin not too far behind. Either way around would be fine but they ould be my 3 frf

Hooker
9 Farah. Prob the inform Hooker of this year and deserves a chance.

Second Row
11 Lewis He has been there for a while and has always been up there as one of our best
12 Watmough. One of the better 2rf's this year and should be a must pick
13 Stewart. Great defensive player and offers a lot in attack as well. He is another must pick for me
15 Trex. He is an explosive player that will add plenty of spark from the bench. much needed
16 Sims As above and can also cover FRF

Utility.
The only position i have trouble picking, Do we need one? If it is a must then i would have
14 Bird. Can cover 5/8 and back row. Has always been there and never lets down.

TLL in for Creagh. Other than that great show from the boys. Jennings getting sent off really changed the game, but I guess it was fair.

GI try was an absolute joke.

Greg Inglis' "try" was the dumbest call I've EVER seen!

I just can't even be bothered saying who I want dropped and who I want in for the next game because I'm too p!$$ed off now!

To be fair it was a great great contest up until that gaffe.

Everybody played pretty well for the Blues.

I think Aaron Woods might be worth a call up. I didnt think Ben Creagh did too much wrong. Buhrer isnt need Luke Lewis and Greg Bird are utilities.

Watmough in for Creagh
Buderus in for Farah
Farah replaces Buherer
Woods in for Merrin

8. Gallen 9. Buderus 10. Tamou 11. Stewart 12. Lewis 13. Bird 14. Farah 15. Watmough 16. Williams 17. Woods

Based on that performance, Farah deserves to play the full 80 minutes next game, if i was a selector, Buderus would need a big few games to get in my side again.

Excuse the team list.. But here is my side for Game 2.

1. Josh Dugan
2. Jarryd Hayne
3. Michael Jennings
4. Josh Morris
5. Akuila Uate
6. Todd Carney
7. Mitchell Pearce
8. Paul Gallen (c)
9. Robbie Farah
10. James Tamou
11. Greg Bird
12. Glenn Stewart
13. Luke Lewis

14. Josh Reynolds
15. Aaron Woods
16. Anthony Watmough
17. Tony Williams

I cannot fault that team, it is the first time i've ever felt that way! I don't understand why this wasn't the team for Game 1. :(

If you've watched Dugan's recent games & how dangerous he's looked you'd understand why i picked him & T-Rex needs to be on way earlier & for more time. He looked like a beast out there for a man that hadn't played in 9 or 10 weeks.

The team doesn't need to be changed at all for game two bar injuries. At best, replace Buhrur with another big man or Watmough, if the gameplan is to play Farah the full 80.

Mason for merrin
Snowden for buhrer

Snowden is lucky to be making FG at the moment, Mason hasn't played enough Footy yet.
The only change I'd make is Watmough for Buhrer and give Williams more game time. We were the better side last night and all the players(bar Buhrer) deserve another shot.
