English Premier League thread

I'm pretty happy with Arsene's 5 last minute buys.

Here is what I reckon our best looking team is:

Szczesny
Sagna/Vermaelen/Mertesacker/Santos
Wilshire/Ramsey/Arteta
Walcott/van Persie/Gervinho

Bench:
Fabianski
Koscielny
Diaby
Rosicky
Benayoun
Arshavin
Park

Others:
Djourou
Gibbs
Song
Chamakh

I'm very happy with what Liverpool have done in the transfer window. They have bought well and got rid of a lot of dead-wood.

IN:
Charlie Adam
Jordan Henderson
Stewart Downing
Doni
Jose Enrique
Sebastian Coates
Villyan Bijev
Craig Bellamy

Loans:
Alberto Aquilani (loaned to AC Milan)
Joe Cole (loaned to Lille)
Dani Pacheco (loaned to Atletico Madrid)
Stephen Darby (loaned to Rochdale)
Peter Gulasci (loaned to Hull City)
Villyan Bijev (loaned to Fortuna Dusseldorf)

OUT:
Raul Meireles
David Ngog
Sotirios Kyrgiakos
Christian Poulsen
Milan Jovanovic
Paul Konchesky
Emiliano Insua
Daniel Ayala
Nabil El Zhar
Thomas Ince
Gerard Bruna
Chris Mavinga
Philippe Degen
Deale Chamberlain
Dean Bouzanis
Steven Irwin
Alex Cooper
Nicola Saric

Cleverly might struggle in big games due his lack of experience. United would've completed their squad if they were able to land Snejider.

I was hoping Bellamy wouldn't leave to an EPL side and would've went to Celtic instead :( Don't want him playing against us.

What's happened to Bouzanis? He was touted as the next Bozza/Schwarzer a couple of seasons ago now he's been dropped by 'Pool..hope for his sake he finds a club in Europe in a decent league where he can get regular game time.

Arsenal beat Swansea 1-0 on the weekend. I didn't watch the game but apparently we were pretty ordinary. Good to get the 3 points though, hopefully it gives the squad some much needed confidence.

He wanted to play more first-team football but that wasn't going to happen because there was like 3 or 4 guys ahead of him and King Kenny didn't rate him like Benitez.

Gervinho starting to look the part.....

Added after 27 minutes:

Just watched Arsenal dominate the first half yet lose to Blackburn 4-3 thanks to 2 comical own goals. Their season is going from bad to worse.......

Surely they couldn't get relegated.

I just find it amazing how the loss of two players, can completely ruin a team and its fabric. Why did the manager (forget his name) let Fabregas and Nasri go?

I know the Fabregas really badly wanted to go back to Barca and I think Nasri wanted to leave as well. Wenger didn't want them to leave but the other bosses of the club let them go.

No point letting a player go, if you can't get a player back of the same quality. Especially if they are a big club like Arsenal.

No point keeping him there when he can leave on a free transfer the season after and you get nothing in return.

Although Liverpool got hammered this cheered me up a lot!

Fabregas wanted to go to back to his boyhood idols. Nasri just wanted the extra 80 grand a week City offered (on top of the 60 grand a week he was already on). The harsh times of a Premiership footballer eh??

I'm probably a bit biased cause I'm a City supporter, but who wouldn't if someone offered to more than double your wage to do the same job? I know I would haha.

Ballotelli is a douchebag, you don't win titles in October as horrible as last night was it might not mean alot in the grand scheme of things.

As much as we dominated United last night, we shouldn't get carried away here. It's not even a third of the way yet. Although, that was a great win and it sent a message to other Premier League clubs.

Balotelli can do whatever he wants as long as he backs up his antics on the field. I'm not the biggest fan of him, but he has really improved over the past month or so.
