A bit un called for i think
Yeh I agree! The use of such a word in that context is totally uncalled for.
Anybody else I don't think I would have stooped so low, but when a troll is deliberately contradicting everything that is happening then well...I make no apologies. Read through all of his previous posts and show me the positive ones.
Apparently there's strong word out there that Boyd has signed with the Broncos already. I wouldn't be surprised.
From that Centurions match I watched today, Williams looked absolute gun. I knew he's had the Midley one hand flick pass in his game, but i've never seen it until today. He is very, very good at it, it looks like. His defence was a bit of a concern though.Simon Williams will be up the FG standard very soon i reckon, especially with Wayne mentoring him next year. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a good run of FG games if we don't sign a centre. Wes & Lulia are also good options, i've always rated Lulia as a very good player & Wes has been awesome this year. Boyd would be a superstar centre & the best case situation, but whoever Wayne goes with out of those options i'm happy.
My thoughts exactly Aidos... If he comes he comes but if he doesn't I'm not dwelling on it. We'd have Gids at the back and Likiliki ready for a start.
Snowden + Bennett already, I'm still pinching myself!
HAVING ensured Justin Hodges will play out the remainder of his career in Brisbane, the Broncos last night outlined plans to step-up talks with Darius Boyd in coming days as they look to bring the Queensland State of Origin star back to the club.
Hodges signed a three-year deal with the Broncos yesterday, meaning the 29-year-old will finish his career where it started more than a decade ago. Officials are hoping to follow that coup with another by convincing Boyd to return to Brisbane next season.
It won't be easy. Newcastle has made it clear that Boyd is central to its plans and the Knights have a significant factor weighing in their favour -- the presence of Boyd's mentor Wayne Bennett, who will join the club next year.
The Dragons are also intent on retaining Boyd. Given the fierce competition for Boyd's signature, and the likelihood Newcastle will weigh in with a larger offer, the Broncos face an uphill battle. That said, they plan to at least test the waters by opening talks with Boyd's manager George Mimis.
Broncos general manger of football Andrew Gee confirmed the club had briefly spoken to Mimis, who also manages Hodges, about Boyd but would now look to step-up negotiations.
"We haven't had a lot of dialogue with George about Darius," Gee said. "We will get on to that in the next week or so. I don't know where he is at the moment with the other clubs he's talking to."
Mimis added: "There has been some interest to go home and there has been some interest to go with Wayne. Nothing has changed."

Hodges’ signing was crucial given the club will lose a significant chunk of experience when captain Darren Lockyer retires at the end of the season. Interestingly, Boyd could also help fill the void created by Lockyer’s departure.
With Josh Hoffman having bedded down the Broncos fullback spot, Boyd has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Lockyer in the No 6 jersey.
