Darius Boyd to follow Bennett to Knights

I know from october 2010 that the player must negotiate with his manger if there is another club wanting to sign him while under contract, still a bit suspicious about Boyd agreeing to the knights being valid

Yeah I know right? Your instincts are a marvel and I suspect you're right about this thing again. You got any other news we should be worried about? I'll copy them down and we can tell them we told them so when it happens.

What are you talking about? Boyd has a get out clause in his contract if Bennett leaves, and since Bennett will no longer coach the Dragons next year, Boyd's 4th year at the club is now optional. He can either play out the last year of his contract at the Dragons or opt out of it and hit the open market, which is what he's done.

Same thing happened with Blake Ferguson at Cronulla. He had a get out clause in his contract if Ricky Stuart left and when he did he decided to bail and Canberra pounced on him.

where is this mystrerious get out clause, when boyd only signed a 3 year deal not this magical 4 year deal with a get out clause


luke with souths when he ws trying to stay with souths, agreed to Souths without his manager and the nrl will not allowed it until his manager is part of the negations

funny how souths got told they weren't allowed speak to boyd about signing with them in 2010 , had to wait to negotiate until in his final year which is this year

So alot of people are saying Boyd has until tomorrow to make a decision, Carbon said yesterday we'll announce he's signed this week, we know nothing gets revealed on weekends so if I don't hear good news by 3pm tomorrow I'm going to be extremely disappointed at those giving false hope lol I personally cant see anything being announced this soon, Im expecting it to be next week if anything but I'll trust my fellow Knights fan's word and hope they're right and these inside scoops aren't fictional.
 
i suspect we will have a little while to soak up the attention of the Snowden signing, then unveil Boyd's signing, should it happen.

yeah it would take away a bit from the signing of snowy...
but then again it would be nice just to have both the signings in one week,to get them over and done with...
