I'd prefer to keep him. If the numbers quoted are right (around $250k), I think it's a bargain. I know Bennett won't make all our players world beaters, but with Junior's potential, given the right motivation he could be anything.

he needs to learn to pass the damn ball more.........
 
Remember there's another centre spot left with MacDougall gone. Wes & Lulia are not guaranteed to be re-signed & Likiliki is nowhere near regular FG standard yet. Junior & Boyd can both play in the centres if that's Wayne's plan.

hopa will be swooped up by the eagles (haha...pun) but we should throw mullions at him...

I think it's his first year and i've never seen anyone play that well coming into the league, first go.
 
cooper hasnt re-signed wiht the dragons yet, waiting on the outcome of Boyd


Who hasnt announced he has signed with the knights , as the telegraph predicted he would at the end of the week
 
They said they were expecting an announcement, they didnt say there was going to be one. There are heaps of examples when announcement have been delayed this year.

yes but if the deal was a done deal, you would think cooper would have re-signed with the dragons already.

But he hasnt , that might be a sign Boyd was never a certainty of coming to the knights
 
I highly doubt Cooper would play for another club in the NRL, but if he is considering ESL offers (which I havent heard of) that might be a different story
 
Titans withdraw offer for Boyd :)
Gold Coast Titans have withdrawn their offer to St George Illawarra fullback Darius Boyd.

Titans chief executive Michael Searle said the club had to move on because negotiations were taking too long.

"We wish Darius all the best with his future playing career and thank him for his engagement and interest but regrettably we can no longer continue to delay other negotiations of similar importance to our club," he said.

"We will now divert our efforts on other players within our sights."

It is widely tipped that Boyd will follow Wayne Bennett to Newcastle Knights for the 2012 NRL season.

So Titans have ruled him out, Broncos have all but ruled him out... it's down to us and the Dragons, I'm feeling pretty confident right now :)
 
Where did this Thursday deadline even come from? I haven't seen a source, only rumours so I think it's irrelevant. If Boyd wanted to stay at the Dragons he would've re-signed by now. Titans were our only serious competition, they're now out of the picture so looks like he'll be a Knight.
 
Interesting the Titans pulled out themselves, considering a couple of weeks ago they were very keen.

He must have just not gotten back to them. Very odd with his grandmother up there he didn't keep them up to date.

Titans might have helped him make a decision. It's always been the Knights or Dragons either way, IMO.

Unless they plan on getting rid of De Gois placing Hilder at #9 with Buderus coming off the bench? or Buderus starting with Hilder off the bench, either way
