sure the comeback was brave but I never felt we were going to get them...I could sense we'd make an error or two that would take all the wind out of our sails and that they'd pip us...

Im not shatter about this lost, dragons prove last night why they have the best defence in the game & also show why they are on top of the table. They were to good for us last night, but im proud to say the boys did there best and thats all that matters.

You did well boys !!! bring on 2011 !!!

Yeah, watching Wes put in 100% in the tackle as Creagh reached out to score was great to watch.

Was a poor attempt nowhere near as bad as Mullen's attempt but he was good other then that I don't understand the logic on this forum, I do not rate McDonnell as a very good player but he has been very good over the last month, Wes has been very good all year but still nobody has a good word to say about him, it's pretty stupid.

Wes blew a certain try - Mad Dog give him a gobful and rightfully deserved. Could have made it back to 22 all... Wes just doesn't make the right decision sometimes.

But dare say McDonnell wouldn't have thrown it either.

Other than that he was fine.

I think Mad Dog was so ****ed because he wanted the try for the record. I know he already beat it but i think in his mind he knew he didn't score it so he wanted to score a fair dinkum try. Because i was sitting right infront where he scored & he was held up from what i saw. When he got to the ground the ball scraped the ground then lifted up as he got on the tryline. I was right infront & i think he was extremely lucky for that to be a try.

a grapple tackle and an eye gouge from dragons players

did the judiciary see this and did the dragons get penalised for this

Still... it's hard to go off a photo to determine what lowey has.

I dare say that was the half Mullen break and Cooper would have come over the top of him.

But yeh you cant go off a picture.

I like cooper, Shellharbour shark.

First tackle isnt a grapple, that involves having the playing in a full head lock. Second one no doubt an accident. And if it was an eyegouge Mullen certainly would have known about it, blurred vision, bleeding eye, etc etc. (and cooper wouldnt be doing it in easy vision of everything, as back in the rough and tough days it was done in tackles on the ground and scrums)

In saying that though I wasnt too happy with what the dragons were getting away with in the rucks. They were holding down, flopping, and working out players quite a bit in the first half. Its obvious why they are so good defensively (never conceded more then 10 in a first half, conced more then 6 only twice). They know how to push the boundaries, and disguise it well enough to get away with it.

We only completed 2 more sets, and had 51% possession, but the Dragons out tackled us by 350-284. The get numbers in tackles, which slows down the play the quite considerably.

NBN News just reported Gidley & McDonnell's season's are over with both getting injured against the Dragons.

Oh Great!

What sort of injuries and for how long?

Gidley needs surgery, don't know about McDonnell.

I can just see our team now.

1. Naiqama
6. Mullen
7. Dureau
13. Taufua
14. Hilder
:doubt::doubt::doubt::doubt::doubt:

Although with Taufua starting that'll give Joel some room to go on the bench. :dancing:
