Future at Knights looks bleak post Bennett

Mantellato will be 28 by then and probably still won't have much first grade experience. I would go with our best young backs over him by then or sign a big name but right now he's a great reserve to have and I hope he stays on.

I think Jake Mamo and Sione Mataútia will be pushing for firstgrade in two years - as will Chanel and Pat - who haven't signed anywhere yet.
I'm thinking Dale Clacherty might also be pushing for firstgrade as early as next year. He has taken a few steps forward in recent times as a winger in NSW cup, and he is a tall, lean 100kg athlete who can tackle and has a few good moves in attack. He even scored a 100 metre try a few weeks ago, so he has at least as much pace as Jimmy.
I kind of expect Mantellato to use his european passport and sign for an ESL side either after the WC or after next season.

Once Boyd and Bennett move on and if we keep Mantellato, Leilua and Gagai with Tahu retiring, could we possibly see any of these:

1. Mantellato
2. McManus
3. Gagai
4. Leilua
5. Uate

1. Gagai
2. McManus
3. Mantellato
4. Leilua
5. Uate

1. Gagai
2. McManus
3. Uate
4. Leilua
5. Mantellato

And if there is a possibility of signing KFFL, could he be a back-up/NSW Cup back line player?

Mantellato poor guy was born 20 years late, 90's he would have been a superstar.

atleast he has more fight in him then than "old slug newton" , cannot believe he is getting any form of contract
