I would love to see Ponga sidestep Gallen into oblivion and we never hear about him again. Their premiership window is pretty much goneski which would make beating them even sweeter after his sh*t talking.

Couldn't agree more. For mine, I've always thought our losses to the Sharks were the ones where we were most disrespected by the other team. Gallen has said a few times that he didn't think many of our players were up to first-grade standard (in fairness, a lot of them weren't at the time), and then the separate comments regarding Pearce and, later, Brown. It'd be a great start to next year to get a win over the Sharks in particular.

Take what Gallen says with a grain of salt. He is an admitted drug cheat.

I hope they've uncovered evidence of correspondence between Flannagan and Gallen during his suspension, as their captain I'd be surprised if there wasn't.

Knowing that it was forbidden, if Gallen was complicient in the breach it'd be some sweet justice to see him face some sanctions.

Their whole premiership should have one big massive astrix next to it now as well.

From my understanding there were serious doubts they were cap compliant in 2015 and 2017. Give me a break that they were in 2016 as well then. Can't believe Buzz is still leading the brigade for the NRL to not be too harsh on Flanagan, Throw the freaking book at him. Throw the freaking book at the Sharks. It's getting up there with the Storm deliberately rorting the cap for a number of years.
Flanagan basically rendered his suspension mute by his alleged contact with the Sharks during the season. Which means the Sharks basically got an unfair advantage that shouldn't have happened, which absolutely influenced how they went later on.

Even Sharks fans are pissed off and turned on him.

Anyway on the topic of the game, I actually haven't bothered to look at the draw much but they are starting at 5 on Fridays now?

It should be as good a time as any to leave Gallen with a lasting memory of Newcastle. Id like to leave Gallen with a lasting memory of the front end of my 4x4 .

Wait what? 5pm Friday starts?

Geez talk about giving me a heart attack. It is 6pm.

I just put in my roster preferences covering that day to leave early to get there for 6.

Oh I just noticed the original post had 5pm, maybe that's when gates open or whatever, my bad lol

I hope we towel them up to be honest. Gal can eat humble pie. Wanchor

Agreed. Can't wait to prove him wrong in round 1. Well we have already proven him wrong actually haha. He said it would take 2-3 years to be a consistent top 8 side. We are already there no less then 12 months later.

With the coach certainly to be suspended and deregistered I am nearly at the point where I will be disappointed if we lose. With the players we have lost, and Gallen actually being a liability on the field these days losing won't be acceptable.

Also Gallen keeps crapping on about there being no more resilient club in Australian Sport then the Sharks, lmao, give me a break

Haha the blokes a grub. They've had to be because they put themselves in that position to start with. His brain has copped too many knocks.
