With Greenberg now telling refs to find a balance with penalties, we might see more flowing games which is going to expose our lack of forward power even more. With fewer penalties we will be going set for set for longer, and we tend to lose that battle, much like forcem backs game, we will end up back on our own line a few sets in and under enormous pressure again and again.

I've actually noticed that in many of our games this year, we've often struggled to get out of our own end in games but a penalty let's us off the hook. Not a viable plan for games where there aren't many penalties & we're forced to have to make ground the traditional way.

This is what we have been saying for years that we are a few pigs short up front to make this ground. You need a hard worker to play 50 to 80 minutes who always finds his front, quick play the ball and has an offload. Makes his tackles in d. Then you need the impact high metres, post contact fullback lingering prop who has no regard for the players his running into and wants to hurt them in d.

Then 2 backups who can match them up front.

Then at least another 4 up and comers/over the hill props who have either made a reputation for themselves or are within the top 10 props in isc, isp. Sounds easy yeah?

That is because teams seem to be allowed to be a metre or two offside when they play us!

Our backs need to be better at this but I’m not sure we have the right guys for this

Ponga - can’t do everything and I certainly don’t want him getting bashed taking a hit up off his own goal line

SKD - The best we have at it

Sione - Needs to do more coming out of our own end

Dennis - slow off the mark

Sio - Not fast or powerful

Ross - Probably second best behind SKD

Need a couple of big Fijians like Suli Vunivalu

Sio easily has the best leg drive other then skids. Dunno what you have been watching. Sione needs to do more I agree. Denniss is a string bean so needs to run hard as speed = power.

Really ??? I can't remember seeing Sio carrying defenders on his back I could be wrong though but that's how I see it.

I'll watch him more closely from now on.

Sione doesnt do any hitups inside our 20m zone... like ever!

Skd and Sio are our top 2 meter makers inside our half no questions asked
So they should be they’re our wingers that’s half their job !!!!

Sione definitely needs to do more coming out of trouble that we can all agree on.

IMO I would prefer Deniss at centre than Ross although they haven't quite got they're timing right yet I think when they do there will be more try's in them and Deniss is better defensivly at centre than Ross ...

I'll hold my judgement on Dennis' defence for now as he did make two crucial errors that led to tries on the weekend.

His mis-tackle on Fergo led to the first try, whilst poor marker play on Fergo's second try left him 'one on one' with Sio, who also didn't get off his line.

Rossy ain't a great defender either so I agree that I wouldn't be rushing him back especially since his attack has been down also this year.

One post I said I don’t recall seeing Sio being a powerful runner

The other post I said SKD and Sio should be our biggest metre eaters from our own end because that’s their job.

You’re clutching pal
Just watch Sio do some hitups when his legs are free he keeps them driving. Something our twin towers could adapt instead of just falling over the big bastards.

If our centres come from Ramien, Sione, Moga and Denniss next year then no need for Ross to play anywhere else but wing or reserves same for Sio if re-signed

I'm off to Europe Saturday morning so I'll be offline for 6 weeks, but I'll be watching Kenny and his leg drive closely when I return
