Official: Knights sign Kalyn Ponga on a 4 year deal

Im actually really worried about next week,

The cowboys will dominate us up the middle like every team does, Ponga will carve us up.

And everyone will gloat about how good ponga will be for us next yr.

If he brought Teaumalolo and hess with him id agree

To be fair I thought I posted after the tigers loss and again last night. I don't live on the east side of the country and rarely seen any games due to work and time difference. But of course I'm around when the Knights seem to lose. Not very often they have won these last 2 seasons :/

Yeah no two ways we suck.

Still time to improve our forwards for next year 88. Your being very defeatist on that front.

Plus, we have the two best props in the game in the making, within two years they will be without peer and then, we will have the forward pack you dream of. :)

They have a lot to prove before they are that. No leg drive, no aggression, no pace - all they have is large frames that they lumber into the defensive line - which was great last year when they were doing it in quantity at least. Without the quantity they have been very disappointing and have a lot of work to do to just catch up with where they were last year.

Putting the house on the Saifitis is a dangerous gamble. They haven't kicked on this year at all.

Exactly mate,
U need to post more often champ

The twins got a free pass last yr cause no one really knew who they were.... this yr they are a target in our team! Stop them and we got no meters in us from the forwards. Simple task.

This is why i think having both of them on together with pauli at lock would be more affective for us... containing 1 at a time is easy.... containing 3 is hard going.

Yep, exactly, I called them out after the roosters loss and was advised they will be the games two best props in 2 years lol. That post above was sarcasm.

My actual opinion is they are a disappointment, and I posted I don't think they will ever amount to what we expect of them.

Repeat that for basically any junior that comes through. Our development has been dire, and I see sg ball didn't make the finals

His stats in a well beaten side were very impressive
12 runs
132m( third most in the game and most of any cowboys player)
10 tackle busts
1 line break

His still maturing too and growing into his body baring injury the sky really is the limit for him. That step he put on semi in the Ingoal was unbelievable.

The commentators were talking about how the cowboys can keep him in the team once coote is back. Personally I hope they rest him for a bit- he limped last night after big plays and looks like he could do with some recovery. We've been watching that happen to young players here for the past two seasons and it feels like he's only a game or two away from an injury....

Even in a losing and struggling side he's starting to look quite comfortable at the back. Any chance the Cowboys had to score last night Ponga would've been the catalyst for but they just couldn't execute their plays enough or give him that early ball. Here's hoping he can continue to get a look in a different stages of the season once Coote is back because he's starting to hit his straps.

Very good offensively but our defensive line has been a shambles without Coote at the back barking orders. If Ponga was to stay in the line-up when Coote is back it has to be at the expense of Feldt.

Feldt has had a awful yr to date... gone from being safe as to utterly average!
