Your team v Manly

I know a lot of people say you don't want to upset your spine when theres an injury but Melbourne have done it quite often over the years. I know they are a different sort of beast being the power house they are but the amount of times Munster has had to move to fullback to accomodate injuries is a lot.

I think a lot of our ideas are coming from the model storm play

Melbourne have had the luxury of having Pappy/Munster/Hughes and Grant.

Whilst we have 2 veterans in Brown and Ponga, Crosslands I still count as a utility and Sharpe/Smith are obviously very unproven.

Messing with the spine is just idiocy for every other team.

I'd much rather trust a specialist in that position even if it is a decent drop from Sharpe, and use Hunt as our 19th man game day - are 18/19th man allowed to play lower grandes? - Even just a half to keep their match fitness up if they are playing at the same venue.

I think this is Holbrook's plan. Fletcher Hunt looks to be the next man up in the back 5. I expect we will see him on the bench for the forseeable future.

Yeah I’m not 💯 sold on Hunt. All our backup backs from what I’ve seen play ok, but also have errors in them. I know they are young and will get better. But a bit concerned if we get an injury in our current back five, who are all very good. I would put Sharpe as first drop I think if there is an injury and bring Smith into the halves. But also can see just keeping Sharpe at 6 and bringing in Hunt/Schiller/McCarthy.

Hunt would probably be my first pick, because he does have some x-factor.

If the 18th - 19th man can't play cup you'd assume they rotate them in right? you'd atleast want to be playing 2/3 weeks in cup for fitness right.
