Worst year ever?

I'm honestly on the fence whether to renew again or leave it.

Part of me thinks just renew it, not that much money, and I can pick and choose which games to go to. AOB is gone so maybe there is some hope for a change of playing style to enjoy.
 
Holbrook will definitely bring in a different game plan. In attack anyway. He’s been the attack coach at the Roosters. And when he was coaching the Titans they had plenty of points in there. They just couldn’t defend! 🥴
 
Yeah, for all the doom and gloom of my 2025 feelings about the team, 2026 IS a new year, with a new coach (and hopefully a new stance on attacking, enjoyable football). Although I'm not a ticketed member (Perth's just a tad too far away to commit to attending home games!), I'll continue to be a member next year, and would still be doing so if I lived in the Hunter and was a ticketed member.
Not trying to sway anyone's thoughts nor tell anyone what they should be doing, mind you. Just stating what I'd do.

Their show is 90% taking the **** and making jokes, i saw it as nothing more than a lighthearted pisstake. They play plenty of grabs from social media.
they did reply and respond again and apologised to the knighted the next day. Wouldnt be suprised if they reach out and try and get him on the show to clear it up fully.
 
Yeah mate, couldn’t have said it better. This year was rough — attack was painful to watch and it just sucked the fun out of game day. Defence held up for a bit but once that fell apart, it was hard to keep the faith.


I reckon you’re right though, it had to happen sooner or later. Clean slate now, new start, and hopefully a bit of pride back in the jersey next season. Can’t really go any lower, so things can only go up from here.

I think this year was the most disappointing in my opinion. The worst? No, but definitely disappointing due to our team on paper, injuries and us finishing last. Do I think we are world away from being a top 8 team like we have been in the past when receiving spoons? Not one bit, I honestly wouldn't be shocked if we are back in the 8 next year (maybe a little optimistic).
But I feel as a club we have had the clean out that we have needed, some major key personal turnover from both players and staff and I think the future is looking a lot more brighter with one thing standing out the most... hopefully our ATTACK IS BACK!!!

Anyways onwards and upwards from here GO NEWY!! ❤️💙

Also: As for Vossy and Brandy having a little dig at one of our own in Linc from The Knighted I think is completely unprofessional and unreasonable from them both. I think Link handled it well and has since been put to bed and Vossy has given an apology (I don't think Brandy has or will 💩). Let's just hope our team can silence all these so called "professionals" writing us off already. Vossy should stick to commentating IMO and Brandy should just retire... one of the worst selectors NSW has ever had (yes he was a selector in the Freddy era).
 
I was lucky enough to grow up in an era where if the Knights didn't win by at least 20 points it was considered 'disappointing'.
So yeh, the last decade has been a trip, of all the sports teams I follow, most of them blow and are considered jokes in their respective sports yet none of them compare to how pathetic the Knights have been since Buderus retired, it's almost impressive in a way.
