Women's State Of Origin 3- Newcastle

We were lucky to win the first 2 games with a combination of Davis/Kelleher as the dummy halves
To leave the Australian and was current NSW 9 in Higgins out and players like Fressard, Sergis who could barely start at centre for her NRLW team was outrageous

The roosters bias by having Kylie Hilder previously and now strange has gotta go for the future

As soon as NSW scored to get back in front I said to myself “QLD are still gonna win this”… next minute. Rugby League is such a laughably predictable sport.

The Blues had no answers. Hospital passes, one-out runs, basic errors was their entire game plan so it seems.

I thought the ref was pretty average, allowing Queensland to slow 'the play the ball' down to the point where players were lying on top of the tackled player for what seemed like an eternity. I think this disrupted the NSW attack as the defenders had ample time to get organized.

Southwell robbed for player of the series. They had to give it to a Roosters player though.
Kernick was the best player in the series by a mile and I probably would have said Izzy Kelly was second best. Jesse's time will come.

Thought Kernick was quiet tonight. Had a solid Game 1 and a great Game 2. Jesse was easily our most consistent performer over the 3 games.

Need to sort out that Jesse Southwell marquee deal, on the strength of this series she’s easily the best half in the NRLW and a player you build your program around.

Lock her down and try like hell to get her behind the most athletic pack you can.
Does locking her down really mean anything in the NRLW?
If it meant anything, both last years fullback and lock(and capt) would still be at the Knights.
I really love the Knights NRLW team, but the competition has completely lost its integrity with the face that happened by letting key Knights players go with years left on their contracts.
Game is wonderful to watch but the contracts are a farce.
Prediction:
Jessie Southwell to the Roosters in 2026.

That’s more down to the Knights general incompetence rather than anything to do with the comp as whole. Not to mention them losing Ron Griffiths

I would not at all be surprised if the Roosters made a play for Jesse, especially as Braith Anasta is now her manager.
