Tevita Pangai

Danny 'Bedsy' Buderus
I'm thinking they have to name him for NSW under 16s, even though he is only 14.

He plays second row for our Mathews side.
He plays full games without replacement.
He has scored 8 tries from 6 games before today.
He seems to offload at will.

I believe he has an older brother who plays in the Newcastle rep side and was very close to making the Centurions this year, and he also has a brother who is tearing it up for the Cowboys NYC.

As far as i can see the only reason he won't play rep footy this year is they might think he can do it next year, so give the spot to a 15 year old.

If you watch him play you would think he is a 17 year old who is in the wrong grade, because he looks bigger and stronger than his peers, but he is actually younger than the players around him.
Very big.
Very athletic.
Has all the skills.

I know this bloke, goes to my school. Very talented boy & BIG too!

He's not 14 is he? He's in Year 10.

I know who he is, I have played against his brother Kilu before, both of them are built like tanks. Kilu is massive!

Looking at the scorer list for the weekend, both Pangai and Sione Mata'utai scored doubles to take them both to 10 tries from 7 games.
They are both young enough to play another year of Mathews.
They play next to each other on the left side of the field.
I've only seen three games this year, but i saw Sione score three tries where Pangai attracted 3 defenders and offloaded to Sione who went over with maybe one defender to beat.
They are quite a combination at left second row/centre.
Most of it comes down to Pangai being a beast, but he also has lots of skills and the motor to play a full game.

Pangai finished the Mathews season as top try scorer on 11 tries from 8 games.
Sione Mata'utia finished equal second on 10 tries.

Pangai scored 1 and Sione Mata'utia scored 2 in the first final.

Both now have 12 tries from 9 games.
