Not this year but next year if it gave us the coin to bring in TPJ with some cap space already free I wouldn't be against it.

He obviously wants to be with family.
    It might pass in time.
If it doesn't we should let him go and buy a fullback - Coote isn't enjoying ESL I hear.

Buying a specialist fullback would be a mistake.

We have that position covered with Mann, Ponga and Watson. We are very short in halves depth and the true problem is the Ponga puzzle.

If we are going shopping for a player, Brown needs to be locking in Ponga to a spot either 5/8 or FB, and buy the other spot.

And thats if we buy a spine, our forward depth is already stretched and we are running out King ffs. I don't see how we can let Herman go and not buy a middle to replace him with.

We don't need tpj. Let's try for someone on lesser coin with similar impact. We need to MANAGE our cap not end up like the last few years.

Our problem with forwards is current lack of depth due to Ese’ese situation and injuries to SAF boys and Saulo.
Odd how we seem to get multiple injuries in one position, we have the players if fit.

Yes the key point being needing to stick KP to one spot and leaving him there, I don’t think it’s doing Watson or Mann any favours being moved around either.

Keep KP at fullback give Lino a chance at 5/8, if it doesn’t work look to the market for another 5/8

This could work in our favour ; brown should work out a trade for Blake Green.

The warriors would consider letting Green go now?

I don’t think letting Ese’ese go is a good thing, maybe wait till season end to see if his problems have been resolved. He was close to our best forward last year, we need him and the Saf boys pushing for spot to improve the side. I hope he stays if so don’t need TPJ

We don't need tpj anyway. Money hungry pig. Let's go after another prop similar to Herm. Try poach another youngin from Bronx.

I don't know why people are writing Herm off.
It's perfectly understandable that he'd like to be near his family after the death of his father, but he'll probably be OK once he's had a bit of time.

Has it come out that he wanted to leave to be closer to family? I would think, he would be granted a release if that was the reason.

Or is it that he is dirty he has been dropped and twice and thinks he should be in 1st grade.

He is asking the team that are in the town where his family lives if they have any spots - maybe it's just a random thing - why not?

This makes zero sense. Warriors won’t let their key playmaker go, when they have only rookies to replace him. Especially for a mid-level forward. We have also seen that Pearce sharing playmaking duties in the halves isn’t working, so why would we spend significant cap space on another dominant half? I’d rather us save our cap space for player incentives and another whirlwind offseason after this year.

Exactly. Green, is very much at the back end of his career.

Why not bring Lino in as an understudy to Pearce. He has good potential and a better goal kicker than KP.

And besides the Warriors would be very reluctant to release Green. He is their only half of any note.

Lino is a back up player . We need a playmaker who can save us from this predictable block play **** that Pearce is throwing up. I’m not saying Green is the answer, but Newcastle need a solid no. 6 !!!

Be that as it may methinks they are in more need to retain Green that ours is for a decent foil for Pearce.

There are no "solid" halves on the market that I can think of. I wonder whether Pezet and Brown have clue on who is available?
